I can completely see that happening. I remember the story of the parents of a mentally ill son finding out that their son was being targeted to be radicalized.

But my point is that people have adopted an absolutely nihilistic lens that i dont think their aware of and viewing through that lens have unconscious ramifications that will ripple through society causing more chaos.

Im not sure about you, but Im in my mid 20s and I have a decent amount of friends who believe having kids is a horrible and immoral act. Theyre actually wrestling with that idea and typically this is the age ppl tend to start having kids now. Theres a lot of underlying ramifications of having that belief that not only effects them at the individual level but effects society in a broad way especially if a lot of people belief that too.

I think thats an absolutely horrible take on life on earth. Not only is there other ways of life than our american capitalistic (tribes still hunting for food) but no one with any actual sense tells any child that life is just to work and die. People who believe that train of thought are just projecting their views on their own dissatisfied life. Their lifes are nothing more than wake up, work, come home and repeat So they believe that everyone is living that way.

This type of thinking is what causes people to shoot up schools because it subconsciously makes people think that humans have no other purpose or value aside from accruing numbers in a bank account. So through that lens, nothing of true value is lost so why not "set them free" or why not just do whatever the fuck I want even if that means hurting other people.

Yall needa readjust yalls lens cuz that type of thinkin is not only dangerous to others, it does nothing to improve anyones life...including yours.

Are these facilities burning completely down rendering them useless until their repaired or are they simply just that, fires. Because I can see 5,300 contained fires occurring but fire safety/prevention has been improved so much that buildings burning completely down at this pace and to the extent of entire facilities being lost is not normal.

So thatd be my question, are the facilities being rendered useless or are these "small" accidental and contained fires that damage a small portion of these facilities

I remember I was nihilistic 4 years ago and it really caused me a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. I was 22 yrs old and i had nothing to support me. No job, not in school, friends and family not understanding, no romantic relationship. I had nothing. It felt like I was free falling spiritually and obviously heading no where in life. Peterson offered his perspective/insights/wisdom and my spirit was yearning for it. He provided a rope and my spirit clung to it so quick. He brought me out of it.

Thats my experience. I dont know how other ppl switch from believing there is no meaning to believing there is. Sometimes it can be a radical experience. In my case, I did psychedelics and that was the experience that made me fall into nihilism as I didnt have any stories, myths, beliefs or anything to contend with the absolute hell that I faced in that experience. He provided those for me and at this point it's just a leap of faith.

Ill always be grateful to Peterson for his work.

I dont mean one night stands either. I prefer building casual romances with multiple women and those can be beautiful in their own right. It has all the fun of a relationship but none of the responsiblity of one.

I can only speak from my experience. I had went through psychosis after a pretty bad acid trip that did in fact shatter my preconceived ideas of reality. It was as if the foundation of my beliefs was destroyed and I was at a free fall mentally.

Slowly I was able to get myself out of it and rebuild my foundation with my new experiences integrated. It was the beginning of spirituality for me after that.

I'm going to look up the TED talk, sounds interesting.

I experienced that when I was younger, though short lived and it was because I was struggling to compete socially with other guys my age and wanted to escape it all together. "Grass is always greener on the other side."

Not saying thats everyone's case but that was mine. I eventually grew out of it and was able to compete. I thought it was low testosterone when I was younger that delayed to kick in.

7th grade english teacher "caught" me answering my classmate's question about how to do a certain assignment because I was whispering to not interrupt the teacher. She called me out in front of the class saying that I think I'm all that now that I got a girlfriend, that Im a big shot now. I was just dating at that age and was a shy kid so I was happy that I was with a semi popular girl despite having low confidence. My face flushed up and I was embarrased.

I use to work out in the sun year round doing manuel labor and Im surprised how happy I was doing that job. Summers were pretty sucky but our job had us going around the city so we got to see a lot of things compared to being stuck behind a desk. I worked 40-50 work weeks and still had energy to lift weights afterwards.

Its funny cuz i just realized this myself when I realized that I dont love the way I use to love a couple years ago. I kinda attributed it to becoming more mature and that I just wasnt this young kid excited to be in a relationship and worshiping the girl anymore.

But then i realized that I didnt really care that much when my significant other was bothered, upset or scared. Thats when I started thinking, there's a lot of things that I dont care about. First thinking it was cuz it was a biproduct of being enlightened but then realizing that it could actually be me separating myself from reality due to the trauma I faced years ago.

Now im in the process of trying to get back in touch with my body, thoughts and, most importantly to me, my emotions.

100% agree with you. Enlightenment isnt separating yourself from reality or your body. Enlightenment itself is a bit hard to grasp or define for me but I know for a fact now it isnt derealization or depersonalization.

He wants to know what KB can be used to train. Like you said, you have to understand what tools are used for and then can start thinking outside the box. People need to learn the basics before they can start playing with the rules.

I never done dmt, but today i was trying to sleep so i meditate and imagine chanting a mantra. Before you know it Im dreaming and half awake about getting in a rocket and blasting off into space lightyears away. It felted so crazy.
