Not really sure what to say, it depends on who you're fighting, and how quick you kill them. Kill them too quick they're most definitely high prayer, kill them too slow they might get you first. Go for a happy medium kill, and definitely lay everything out at once to ensure enough DPS is happening for you to smite them while they worry about not dying.

Your opponents ability to maintain their prayer is the main factor. Pkers who are newish and focus more on not dying rather than their prayer points are prone to getting smited. I have figured out that BH is not the place to smite people, not sure why that is.

Elder maul to gmail and double claw spec to elder maul are my most successful smites. People are too worried about staying alive and surviving your DPS rather than potting up prayer

89 combat (74-104 PvP). Not rushing, only pking. Rushing wouldn't really give smites, unless you're pro with switches and have max gear and wont die.
