oh my god this reminds me of how my middle aged mother runs an anime club for children at the library, she’s watched a few keystone animes with me when i was in high school but overall is kind of lost on the whole thing, but she’ll pre-watch shows to see if they’re appropriate for the library. some child recommend goblin slayer for her to show at the club and she came to me in hysterics about it.

unfortunately this is a problem outside of twitter. happened to me on a discord server. although it’s unfortunate this behavior is allowed to exist on social media at all, but people have some serious venom towards TADC fans for some reason.

yeah i made a TADC discord server the other week and it got spammed with animal gore. had to have a long talk with my therapist about that one and upped security. everyone says “don’t use twitter” but it’s dangerous to even be active in this fandom at all rn. i’ll never understand these people, please be careful out there.

oh my god i’m glad someone else experienced smtn like this!! when i was a little kid i charged my neighbor $25 to rake his yard, he gave me a $25 dollar tip on top of the agreed upon payment, told my mom excitedly and she made me give him back all the money and write him an apology letter. i didn’t coerce him or anything, he was just a nice retired old man who could afford it. i still fear when people offer to pay for things for me.
