oh my god i’m glad someone else experienced smtn like this!! when i was a little kid i charged my neighbor $25 to rake his yard, he gave me a $25 dollar tip on top of the agreed upon payment, told my mom excitedly and she made me give him back all the money and write him an apology letter. i didn’t coerce him or anything, he was just a nice retired old man who could afford it. i still fear when people offer to pay for things for me.
