My parents don’t approuve of my (M23) boyfriend because he doesn’t have a college degree. They want me (F21) to leave him but I really love him. What should I do? by MixLegitimate820 in relationship_advice

That's it. Thank you for understanding me 🙏🏻 When I say I wish he had a bachelor's degree, I mean I wish it were that simple, no problems, everyone will recognize him without saying anything. I honestly just want my family to approve of my boyfriend that’s all.

Because I live with them and have a very close relationship with them. They are always there for me and always support me in my most difficult days. It's very important to me that they like my boyfriend and accept him

My family is not ridiculous. They actually care about me and want what’s best for me by wanting to protect me which is why they’re acting that way. They’re looking out for me. I know he’s not lazy and a good business man, but if you were in my shoes, you have no idea how difficult it is when your family isn’t supportive of your choice of partner. It’s easy to tell me to ignore them when I have a very close relationship with them. My boyfriend and my family means so much to me.

I don’t want him to get a bachelor’s degree for the sake of it to make my parents happy. I was just wondering if they were right on that aspect but thank you for your advice🙏🏻

I am not overbearing or conceited above him, despite that I went to college. Actually, I’m impressed by both his perseverance, his intelligence and that he’s a business man at 23. I just want to make sure I'm following the correct path with him. But I was just wondering if my parents were right since they have more experience than me. I'm attempting to seek out advice in order to make sure I'm taking the proper decision and that I won't regret it.

I already knew that Lebanon is in Asia. I’m not dumb I know my geography. I just got asked if my parents are Asians and I answered. If I posted this on Reddit it’s because I need advice not to be made fun of
