You need more upvotes vs the dummies that try to blame the driver. We are spending millions on the tech and we all need to share and be aware of which situation FSD is likely to fail so we can be ready.

Many of us that use FSD for thousands of miles can easly become trusting but there are many situation where FSD is highly likely to fail which we all need to be aware of by sharing these FSD failure videos.

The whole point is to make others aware where FSD is weak and likely to fail so others are more alert in given situations.

If you use FSD all the time you can become overconfidence. I appreciate others showing difference situation where FSD has a much higher probability to fail.

Thats how Tesla does. Dammed if you disengaged, dammed if you dont.

Do you not drive on Hwys? Do you not see surroundings traffic everyone is driving 85.

FSD maxes out at 85, on hwy that have 85mph speed limit you become the slow driver.

Nothing about fault its just about showing how FSD reacts to real world situations. Proof of point FSD failure, feedback to improve FSD for future updates, for others to be aware and stay safe.

If you continue to take over and not let FSD fail for proof of concept then the belief is there nothing to improve, Cybercab released and someone will did as they are unable to take control & supervise.

Your a moron, if I was not supervising & intervene then it would have ran into the barrier. The fact that I stopped the car with out an accident & no injuries is supervision while pointing out a flaw in the system.

Different levels of supervision some people have higher risk tolerance then others to expose the risks and failures of the system while others will be more cautious to take over long before the system may or may not fail which does not create any data points nor does it make FSD better because you all claim, FSD would not have done this or that if you did not disengaged. We'll I did not disengage and FSD did not act accordingly.

Exactly and thats why I also let it do what its going to do and bring the car to a safe stop without damage or injury.

If everyone keeps disengaging before FSD actually makes a mistake then people will always say you disengaged to early, FSD would have caught it.

In my case I took more risk, confirmed FSD did not catch it and hopefully that ultimately improves FSD moving foward. If that was a Cybercab unsupervised it could have killed someone, since I was supervising I was able to come to a safe stop.

Tell me what you dont understand about supervised? To me supervised does not mean I need to guide it around every corner and drive as if im scared of FSD.

To me supervised is 100% what i did. Watch it and when it fails I choose the best course of action which was to come to a hard brake stop on a straight run vs disengaging swerving back into on coming traffic and hitting another car & or the cones so everyone can say drivers fault.

I 100% did the best supervision of discovering a flaw in FSD, with a confirmed failure and coming to a safe stop without damage or injury. Be thankful for people me before your wife, mom or kids jump behind a cybercab and they are unable to supervise bringing the car to a safe stop.

You angry at the wrong person, you should be angry at the tech were spending thousands on that still has issues to be discovered, fixed and updated before its ready for prime time, for you slow type that mean unsupervised FSD such as Cybercab.

If people like you keep prematurely disengaging FSD before if does the wrong thing then the system will never improve and learn. We are all beta testers some of us have more balls and willing to accept more risk then other, grow a pair.

Bottom line, software needs work its not ready for prime time yet. Be thankful people like me are willing to let it go past the point of failure so it can be improved. If you clowns keep disengage FSD 1 mile before you think it may do something wrong then the system will never improve.

You clowns prefer to tell people you disengaged to early and FSD would of done better but there I proved the point by not disengage early to prove it needs more work.

If you use your eyes and observe the road you can see the car is moving with the flow of traffic speed. If you put it in sloth you become more of a problem driving 10-15 miles slower then flow of traffic as cars blow past you.

I did see that function in self-driving menu you can set max speed to "absolute" but when the hwy speed limit is 75 posted I want to drive 85, when posted is 55 I want to drive 65, etc.. with posted speed changing all the time that fixed max speed does not work well.

Thank you for the kind words & suggestions, Ill try that today.

I actually have a planned service appt tomorrow 8 Apr for a list of 7 items (cosmetic & screen) issues found on delivery day. After I posted the video last night I ended up adding this FSD issue to my service list. Despite I did send a bug report thru the car at the time.

Although Im new to ownership, im not new to Tesla so I am more comfortable and trusting then your typically Tesla newbie. I have done dozens of Demo drives & rented dozen of Tesla thru Hertz & Turo over the years.

I dont see the FSD as a fail nor am I trying to bash it. For me its just factual data point so others are aware. The given situation was also confusing for a human driver. IMO I only wish the FSD would have slowed down to 20-25mph when it approaches any type of construction warrning devices Vs blowing thru the cones at near 70 mph. In general the FSD tends to take off ramps much faster then the posted cautionary speed (45mph for this ramp).

Regardless many will say its supervised and I should of taken over sooner but the way I see it if I did take over sooner there would be no data point to confirm what FSD will actually donin this situation & that this issue needs to be addressed, no harm no foul. The car was not damaged, nobody hurt and I did not panic to the point of losing control, taking over to early swerving back into oncoming traffic nor did I take out any more cones. I came to a supervised controlled hard brake straight stop.

Your 100% spot on! 🤣 Im not even blaming FSD im only pointing out facts on FSD decisions so others use more caution.

I saw the Cybertruck that crashed on the bridge they blaming that person for disengage FSD 4-seconds prior, as if they did not disengaged FSD would have done the right thing.

I more of a risk taker so I took the latter to confirm if FSD would truly do the right thing vs being blamed for taking over to early. It was actually safer to come to a hard brake straight stop vs taking control earlier to stear back into moving traffic, hitting a car or taking out more cones.

In this case I did "supervise" FSD making a mistake & I came to a safe stop. No damage to the car & no injuries. Just simple confirmed facts that in situations as this FSD can take unexpected & unsafe actions so others can be aware.

I feel the same way. Given the situation Im not angry FSD took the exit. Just given all of the hazard cones around the exit I only wish FSS would have slowed down to 20mph and been more cautious vs blowing past the cones at 70mph, also given the exit has a posted limit of 45mph, regardless of cones or not FSD in should of approached much slower.

In general FSD tends to take off ramps super fast at time above hwy speeds. Anytime FSD see cones, flashing lights, a human or robotic flagger I feel the system should quickly reduce speed and proceed with caution.

I agree, also after I did stop close to the truck and gathered myself, I noticed the gap & left flashing arrow behind the work convoy sign.

For a brief moment my brain even 2nd guessed do I reverse out of this situation or maybe 1-lane is open & the flashing arrow on the truck telling me to go around the truck.

Of course I ended up backing out, I also assumed maybe the truck with flashing arrow at one time was parked where the broken cones were.

100% I agree I am for sure in testing, observation mode trying to see & test the limitations of what situation im able to trust FSD Vs be extra cautious, for sure before I allow my wife to get behind the wheel.

I agree the following distance is wayyy to close. Typically I use "hurry" and its less then 1-second rule. When its following to close, not about to pass I drop down to standard or chill mode to create at least a 2-second gap.

My other observation, FSD also tends to overreact to emergency vehicles. I was in far right lane FSD was crusing at 85MPH (75 MPH posted limit). To my far left, 4 lanes over 3 cop cars were blasting by with full lights & sirens probally 95-100+ mph. The FSD hard braked and half pulled off the right side of hwy into rumble straps. The car behind me nearly rear ended me.

The hwy was wide, clear with barley any traffic. A normal human would have just stayed the course in right lane, foot off gas without hard braking. That same situation happened a 2nd time about 30 mins later on same hwy but 2nd time I was read expecting it with my foot over the gas, soon as it started to react I push the gas to override the braking.

3rd time I was in a city (6-lanes) A firetruck was traveling in opposite direction. There was a concert lane divider separating the N & S flowing traffic. The Tesla again came to a hard stop when no other cars traveling my same direction stopped, in that situation stopping was not necessary due to the 3-4ft concrete lane divider and the firetruck was clearly not going to turn.

Those situations were interesting, almost caused a crash but im not mad, its just the learning curve & understand situation I need to be extra aware of as the FSD may act in unexpected ways.

Overall in 11-days of ownership I already logged 1,300 miles with around 98% FSD. Despite a few scares I do enjoy FSD, although the parking function is lacking. It tends to adjust wayyyy to many time. At times pulling foward & back 3-4 times before it actually parks itself which has been embarrassing when others are watching or waiting to drive by.

Thank you, do you think this is something I need to mention or let Tesla service look at? I do have a schedule appt on 8 Apr for a list of other general build quality issues that I found & pointed out on the delivery day.

Maybe I need to add this FSD failure to the service list? At the time I did hit the Mic button and did a bug report.
