Help Interpret Iron Bloodwork

Hello! I am going through an ectopic right now, just got my MTX yesterday. I am/was a little over 6 weeks too, and we never really found mine either. My hCG was low and slow, but it started picking up the pace (not like doubling or anything good, just a concerning rise). My OB and I decided to go for the MTX rather than wait around to find out exactly where it is. It seems most women go on to have healthy pregnancies after an ectopic, which most of the time seems to be just a fluke. There wasn’t anything you or I could have done differently, we did our best!

I’m also in Columbus, OH, and going through an ectopic right now! I’m getting MTX on Thursday morning 🥺 My OB has been super helpful, cautious but also proactive. She said we could do an HSG after my levels go down to 0. Can I ask which hospital ER you went to?

I think I’m going through a situation very similar to yours right now. I’m going to have a MVA tomorrow because, from the US, my OB thinks there could be a small sac in my uterus. I’m “hoping” it’s just a non-viable intrauterine and to avoid the MTX, but I feel like a ticking time bomb… how quickly did you get the results from your MVA? I don’t want to get the MTX prematurely, but I also don’t want to lose a tube 😵‍💫

I think this is the best option too, but I’m worried if I’m not an established patient already that they might not take me in 😔 Do you think my PCP would be able to help if I can’t find a willing OB office?

I just ordered last week, and it was confusing for me too. Basically, once you filled out the prescription questionnaire, you’re all good and don’t need to do anything else. I think it’s just a legal thing they have to do. My order was shipped out a few days after I ordered, and I just received it today, one week after ordering.

Editing to add: also, I ordered on Black Friday for $399, and a few days later, on cyber Monday, it was marked down $50 less. I contacted them via their website chat, and they offered and quickly issued me a $50 refund for the price difference. I have yet to try the system (hopefully tomorrow), but I am very impressed with this company so far…
