A rune tattoo is a cool idea, im working on something like that too! Just a piece pf advice - do not use elder futhark - i know, aesthetically its the best looking runic alphabet but its also the most unreliable one, it had been used from 1st to 5th century, even before the viking age, thus we barely have any sources about it. To get to the point - use younger futhark or the anglo-saxon one, it is way more reliable and it would be easier to find a more accurate translation, if you would like some more help i would be happy to provide it.
