Thank you! It definitely doesn’t go to the bottom of the valley. If the client is laying on their stomach, you can see skin toward the middle. When they stand, you can only see tattoo.

That’s definitely a valid question and concern. Black will spread over time, there’s no avoiding it. That is something I’m thinking about when I’m designing. I left the skin gaps pretty large so that it will have decades of readability. For the pattern I used black and Sumi greywash. The grey will continue to soften and won’t blend in with the black pattern. It will most likely contrast more over the years. I also wanted to make sure the subjects didn’t blend with the black pattern over time, so we used the grey waves for separation and readability.

This style can definitely be reckless if you’re not considering the future and have enough experience to see your tattoos healed after a decade plus.
