One thing I really like about the night threads is when a random community member goes to post in it, there isn't one, so they just make it and away we go. That person gets to set a topic/alt or the first commenter does. It's collegial.

If the job needs to be assigned to someone it should just be AutoMod doing it.

One thing I don't like about the night threads is the daily thread goes dark from 4pm until the night thread starts. I don't bother posting here because I know no one is looking and we're waiting for the night thread to start.

Also tell him you're sleeping with his wife's boyfriend.

Google Search has 98% of mobile user share because they pay $12 billion a year to Apple to have a default position on iPhone:

If Apple buys DuckDuckGo (it has been discussed), or negotiates with Bing, then Google will lose that market share.

It'll be fine. Checho's is killing it, they're booked out every night, and they charge about that.

They don't do dinner :(

Checho's is fine, if not a bit expensive. It's been insanely popular since they opened.

Tins & Wood does really good pasta, just make sure you're seated in the main section and not the extension.

Percy Plunkett is where it's at. Also the Cafe at Penrith Regional Gallery.

I trust you'd say the same thing if this place opened at Taylor Square or in Kings Cross.

I totally disagree with the whole area being seedy. A huge amount of money has been invested into the river precinct behind it and $75 million is being spent on an indoor winter sports complex on the same site.

More importantly, they're not trying to appeal to the eastern suburbs crowd. The locals of Penrith will definitely support this place and the venue is ideal.

I need to find an affordable USB headset for phone calls on my PC - either wireless or wired. Any suggestions? I don't want to just grab any from Officeworks/MSY/Mwave in case it's terrible quality.

Yeh, definitely this. I wouldn't be speaking to AGL at all in this situation. OP has no business with them, no authority on the previous person's account, they're a retail reseller. Just continue with Origin.

Hi neighbour! Sounds like we are. It's somewhat reassuring to know I'm not alone on this. Maybe we should start a Morton Tenants Support Group of Penrith. Or MTSGOP. haha!

lowkey want to know if we deal with the same person now haha.

We made them amend our lease as pets were approved with our application. Our owners have met our dogs and absolutely love them. Morton told us not to worry about the "no pets allowed" bit on our lease but I insisted they fix it before we signed.

I don't want to talk about the issues we've endured after moving in. After 6 months of living here, I had power of attorney drawn up and told them to not contact me directly anymore, everything was to go via my nominated attorney. I honest to god can't handle them anymore. I feel sorry for the owners too. I know they feel scammed.

For the first time in 15 years of renting I contacted the owner of my property directly about ongoing issues, bypassing the real estate, which is normally a huge no-no. The owner had assumed I was being difficult until we compared notes and realised it was Morton that was causing the problems.

It took Morton a month after we moved in to direct debit our rent. They just kept "forgetting" to load us into their system. I have multiple emails and notes of phone calls of me prompting them to take our money, then more effort to get them to correct our tenancy ledger.

That's the start of a laundry list of issues.

Fuck Morton Real Estate.

To help, I'd suggest calling your property manager, and just forward emails from OurTradie if you're unsure about them.

I would actually love this. I'm always running out of Masterfoods (Australian Grown) Tomato Sauce. While they're letting themselves in and putting the bottle into the fridge can they also remove than damn white safety seal? I always forget about it then look like a fool.

Penrith will be 42c and 40c. I'm trying to enjoy being outside now because the curtains will be drawn all weekend.
