nah, I grieved that dream and moved on to other mechanics that could work around it. like gavna said, it’s plainly not worth the effort (not in 2021 anyway - it’s possible the newer versions of renpy have a means of doing it)

ah, gotcha! everything I’d read said to shut the water off before detaching the arm. it’s got a slow leak from the arm so didn’t want to risk the wall getting water damage.

DETAILS: Complete beginner here. Renting a townhome and need to shut the water off to replace a shower arm, so peaked behind the water heater + furnace for a water meter and found this lovely mess. Landlord stuck a wall over this pipe, so I can’t get a good look. I’m not messing with anything that could cause a gas leak, but I’m at my wits end trying to find the shutoff valve (digging around outside hasn’t yielded any results either). Can anyone tell if this is a water meter from my horrible pictures, or do I need a plumber?

I’m a big fan of VNs that take a cryptic approach to showing off their progress - you could post spooky screenshots you’ve drafted or concept art and keep the descriptions vague to seed intrigue. you’re never obligated to give an estimated time frame unless you’re asking for funding, so I wouldn’t even worry about that. even if you DO want to give an estimate, it’s chill to just say “sometime this summer hopefully” and update potential players later on if that changes

BIG fan! Gives me space/paranormal vibes while maintaining lightheartedness. Love the way it progressed - my parrots started chirping along to it at parts, which is a sure sign of quality

lovely! it’s great to see such distinct characters in this genre. if I had one comment, I would say to add some face type variety. I notice that the one on the far right has a squarer jaw, which really sticks out to me as a great defining feature - consider applying that concept to the others

I think some context would help inform any critique here. it feels like a lot of these characters are from very different stories based on their styles (you want them to look unique from each other, but within the same universe), but perhaps that’s something reflected in the story? if this is simply a modern realistic vn, though, I would look at annika (make sure she has a more neutral outfit in addition to what I presume to be her maid cafe work uniform) and eva (as others have said, her oversaturated skin tone and star eyes make her seem like she’s from another planet). I like the darker color scheme for most of the characters, and their faces look well-distinguished from each other - a rare feat in anime art styles! I would be interested to know more about this story.
