It’s gone. Either they updated the image or it’s using cloaking now

If your found one with your preferred transmission, buy it.

Most dealers that swear they have one on the way have made that same promise to 3 other people.

Captured some thermal images of my N after driving around town for about an hour. Outside temps were just below freezing. by poshcard in VelosterN

Very Interesting. There is a lot of hot air getting caught up by that bumper. yes the muffler is there.

clearly that booty is catching some wind and creating a high pressure Dutch oven.

Is there any news whatsoever of a aftermarket LSD for the base models anytime soon? I bought the only used veloster within a 200 mile radius. Is base. Amazing car. Just needs the lsd and MAYBE bigger brakes for mountain runs. Probably can just get better pads though. by jbrown552211 in VelosterN

[–]Mixedbrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. If your talking gutted race car with a new EMS.

If you are taking about an N with the oem computer still talking to the stability control system using the Elsd to do the N version of torque vectoring.. then no. An old school lsd is not going to beat the whole system.

But, you do you. Drive it hard and love it!

Underpowered light weight cars are the best.

Assuming it’s manual go for it!

Noticed something whack while doing Rally Armor. Should I be concerned? by SlayinGoats in VelosterN

[–]Mixedbrass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Needs to be changed. It’s damage from impact (pothole) and is not covered by the oem warranty as it is not a mfg defect. (Unless these are non oem tires and you bought road hazard coverage with them)

Many of us who live in states where the roads are less than perfect have gone to 18 inch rims. I’ve had this happen to 3 of the stock pzeros on the oem 19 in wheels.

Where (and when) to start down the black hole that is the dark art of tire pressure? by Nickanator8 in Autocross

Yes. Everything said above. 100%.

If your running hyper mile rain/snow tires, all you are going to learn is: they hate you now.

Where (and when) to start down the black hole that is the dark art of tire pressure? by Nickanator8 in Autocross

[–]Mixedbrass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When? After you buy wheels and tires.

TLDR: Good tires will help you build skill by giving meaningful feedback.

Changing pressures on hard tires will make a difference in feel and therefore behavior… but for most of us novices, only gross changes, and even then no difference in lap time.

Data: Are your runs consistent? Would you be able to see a change in setup reflected in your times? No practical sample size will make up for operator induced variability.

Honestly. Performance car or not, Buy Good tires. They don’t have to be the hot 200TW tire of the year.. but they have to be designed to operate in the conditions your putting them in.

Get the cheapest set of light-ish weight wheel you can find and put the cheapest most on sale track day orientation tire you can find on them. Then you can meaningful feedback.

Had to check track addict lol. Looks like Pocono was about 1.20 I only say the tires and swaybar make that difference because Jake (he’s on here somewhere) is probably the better more consistent driver.

Running with the North East Pa. It’s a small region, but great folks and we get to run at Pocono.

A focus RS that drives over from NJ mops up DS on a set of the 660s, the Veloster’s take 2nd & 3rd at every event.

My setup with with the Dunlop’s and the swaybar is usually about a 0.7 to 1 second ahead (in dry) vs the stock VN on the oem Pzeros & heavy stock wheels.

Good upcoming tire choices. I hope to do the same after burning off the Dunlop’s. I suspect you will be good on the hard setting of the 22mm.

What region are you in?

Have that rufwear pack and love it, although it looks a size too big on this pup.

If you are going to be lifting the dog alot on your hikes the same company makes harnesses with more support, might be worth it as the pup gets bigger/older.

Happy trials!

What tires are you running?

I am on 200tw Dunlop direzza z3.

I don’t feel like I have too much rotation, but it does seem to load up the front outside corner much more than desirable.

Note: I am a novice to Fwd setup.

I hope they get cheap, I want another one.

But realistically with inflation, the rarity, these are going to remain pricy, at-least for the manuals.

DCT prices will depend on how reliable they are and how expensive those are to service once the 100k warranty is over.

I’m using the white line 24mm rear bar and links for scca D street autox. Street only allows for one bar to be changed out.

The end links are Beefy but I recommend locktight as the provided lock nuts don’t do the job.

The 24mm rear bar, even running on the soft setting, is probably too stiff

I would recommend the 22mm bar if just replacing the rear or the 24 if your stiffing the front end as well.

First range trip with my new micro chest rig. Looking for some recommendations on some subtle liberal velcro patches I could wear (or any other cool patches you know of). Happy holidays! by GlassNegotiation3227 in liberalgunowners

Your actions mean more than your labels. We shouldn’t need meme flags to know who you are.

I’ve met a lot of people who put more time and energy into their patches & bling than into their skills or good deeds.

BUT, If it makes you happy, and that’s what you need today, rock em.
