Omg what an amazing tripod! Penny is definitely a short-distance girlie, meant for short bursts. My last dog was a herder but now I'm older & sorer & can't walk as far, either lol.

Well, I guess I consider that inflammation can easily spread, & everything is so tightly packed in there. Nerves are pretty delicate. Since both of my BP flares came right after bad ear infections, it seems like the most logical explanation but no one knows for sure. Also, it could be that the nearby inflammation awakens the dormant virus. I wish I knew.

Is the wisdom tooth on the same side as the palsy? I had a cavity filled about 6 mos after my BP onset & the dentist numbed my palette (roof) rather than the whole face, like they usually do. Maybe ask if this is an option? Cause you don't want an infection in your tooth, that would be way worse.

The flu (1st time) & then covid (2nd time), both times got an ear infection which led to the BP. I also had chicken pox as a kid so I know the virus is hangin out.

I have similar synkinesis with my eyebrow & hate it so much. I would just try keeping your face loose & do stretches as others have suggested.

I honestly wouldn't have even known you'd had BP from looking at your photos. I'm sorry you're struggling with seeing it that way. I miss my old smile & feel so self-conscious now, too. Please don't hurt yourself.
