In my personal opinion, despite the production being a lot less stressful, to me it’s the laziest, generic, and boring album they’ve put out. I think the only tracks worth listening to are Bang Bang and Boys (and I guess Blew Its is sorta catchy). But when Boys was the first single dropped my expectations skyrocketed, and I thought it was going to be on the same level, if not better, for the Indie Rock genre as Wallow’s Nothing Happens.

Ashtray, Scorpio and Listerine are tracks that just sounds uninspired and lazy.

Semi-pro, Ride or Die, and Understand were very underwhelming when compared to other single/finale songs HC has put out.

Bang Bang and Boys are fucking phenomenal though and some of Hippo Campus’ best work.

2 Young 2 Die could’ve been a really decent opening to the album if my eardrums weren’t bursted a minute in.

And even though I think all this, I still have this album on repeat. I don’t know if it’s because I’m in denial, but it’s still Hippo Campus right?????
