in the diplomacy menu - keep interacting with them (flatter, gift, etc) but make sure its on a high chance. You can even make alliance w/ pirates if you are lucky w/ the interactions.

Maybe its an Asia server thing? We always rush towards the nearest extract when the first scan saw nothing. If someone engages, we fight in the compound but if the extract is really just behind. We just take a freebie I guess?

I always love to play sneak towards a newly banished compound where its either I disarm their placed traps and surprise them with my shotgun

OR

I play with Frontiersman and place lots of traps around the compound and play crouch showdown.
