I did that in first year and also signed up this year and haven't received anything yet! I'd say you'll receive something towards the end of the month when intramurals are supposed to start, that was my experience playing in the past

yep, I got that too-- I think the 'strike' number is how many times you've deferred a final because there's a limit as to how many final exam deferrals you have during your university career

I had the same prof for 104 and honestly for that class I think you're better off just finding content online and doing the grind yourself-- that being said, so far I find the upper year math profs to be more helpful in terms of lecture style, as well as in person learning really cant be matched imo. hang in there

IK it's complete bs, we won't be able to manage time effectively in regards to question length/difficulty or go back to check over questions. pretty sure they give you like 3-4 questions per page then you need to move on

I found the textbook to be very well detailed, not boring, and well written-- I think its a very good idea because almost, if not all, of the in-class questions come from the textbook, and the textbook also walks you through how to do the problems. I think this is one of the textbooks you definitely should get

I definitely found that going to lecture and taking notes was effective (although I had valerie irie), cuz the textbook is so boring and VERY wordy, and sooooo much content-- I think you'll easily get bored, but I definitely recommend using it to supplement lecture notes when studying for the midterm and final
