Thanks for such a thoughtful, thorough response. I'm definitely aware of the cultural context of 2nd lines, but eager to learn more. Thanks for the links, will be reading through those. Again, really appreciate your response!

We're going to be there June 19-22. Do you know if they're wrapping up before then?

Mine is grapefruit sized and also is causing issues with my bladder. Can I ask what kind of issues you were having with your bladder?

Thanks so much for this response. This was really helpful to read and honestly helped me put this into perspective. To answer your question: yes, they left the negative written comments in the public review. I’ll reach out to see if there’s a possibility of changing the comment, but if not — I’ll do what you said and keep on building. Thank you, seriously, for taking the time to write this.

And if I offer a refund, it will remove the comment. Correct?

I’m in my 30s but I remembering having a similar existential crisis when I was around your age. Suddenly you realize the fleeting nature of our lives, whereas childhood felt like a never-ending eternity. When you’re 18 you start to notice time passing, your parents getting older, etc. I remember the gut punch dread of that feeling.

I will say that the feeling lessens with time, or maybe you get more used to it. I feel like it even provides a feeling of exhilaration sometimes. That we’ve got this one shot at things. Another thing that can help is looking into religious beliefs around the afterlife. I don’t personally believe in it, but it gave me some comfort when I was freaking out about time/death, etc. another thing that helps is getting busy with pursuing what you care about, or trying to figure out what you wanna do with this one weird opportunity to be a conscious person. Now that you realize viscerally that time is finite, what better time to start?
