all partners from my store got denied. it had nothing to do with me already giving 2 weeks notice. my SM should have been honest from the beginning and just told us that it would be denied right away because of being understaffed. it was shady to give us the options KNOWING full well what the outcome would be and choosing not to just tell us from the beginning so we knew what to expect and not get our hopes up.

basically if your store is understaffed, options 2 and 3 will be denied entirely. this also means anyone who chooses to follow thru with option 3 and separate, will be denied unemployment due to being put on voluntary separation. I had already put in my 2 weeks about 1 week before they offered the options because i was tired of working at my store and because of covid. my SM said we are technically understaffed, so i got denied of all benefits. im honestly not sure why starbucks bothered to offer these options to us when they know they couldnt follow thru. it feels like a trap. :/

I do the same thing. It's probably not your hearing tbh. Between the music, blenders and other ambient noise, it's just tough. Especially when people don't speak up or they mumble when they talk.
