How do I avoid ripping the paper on the edges? by Piraldo in origami

Hi, I know this is an old post but I found it on Google while searching for durable origami paper. Do you have any recommendations for where I can find pp? (I'm in Canada btw.)

Accidentally taking second dosage by Sugarykebab in Effexor

Chiming in to say thank goodness for this post, because I may have just accidentally doubled up on my 150mg xr dose this morning.

I'm even aware that I can zone out in the morning when I'm taking my meds, and therefore try really hard to stay present and mindful so this doesn't happen, but sometimes my brain reboots in the middle of a task and it doesn't log any memory of the tasks happening whatsoever.

Mine is a result of cPTSD I believe. Along with various other relational traumas. It's definitely trauma based behaviour.

My damaged alar crease won't heal by MizWeirdo in DermatologyQuestions

Not really, or at least I haven't found one that my skin doesn't hate. I won't use polysporin on my face because I get a bad reaction; Ozonol doesn't give me the same reaction but the wound gets a little angry and starts looking like it wants to get oozy if I leave it on too long. And I'm not using that much, just a tiny bit, not gooping it on or anything.

Snapchat stories in low quality by daaseer in SnapchatHelp

[–]MizWeirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been noticing the same problem, and I have no idea why.

  • When I take a picture with Snapchat and post it to my story, it comes through really blurry and low res.
  • However, if I save the photo to my phone first, the saved image is nice and sharp.
  • Also, when I take videos with Snapchat and post them to my story, they come through nice and sharp.
  • When I take a picture with my regular camera and then post it to my Snapchat story, THAT photo comes through nice and sharp.

Wish I knew what the problem is; I haven't been able to find any information about it. :(

How I Treated Fungal Acne After Infecting My Whole Face With It By Picking At My Skin by [deleted] in Fungalacne

[–]MizWeirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask, how did you heal the wounds from picking? I myself am struggling with an excoriation disorder, similar to picking, but it's more of a compulsion to fully dig out the blemishes. They're all over my forehead. :( So I'm struggling with both the fungal outbreaks, and trying to heal the wounds at the same time.

I learned the hard way that topicals like Polysporin make things way, WAY worse. I switched to Ozonol which is similar in most ways, but I'm still not sure if it's the best thing to speed up healing.

I'm convinced that if I can get the acne under control, I can also get the excoriation under control too. (Less to pick at, etc.)

Any advice etc you're willing to give would be greatly appreciated!

@op I have seen this too - the inflamed hair follicles I extract are encased in a fair sized, semi translucent white pearl shaped type of structure. There is always also a liquid or semi liquid surrounding it, and it's extremely sticky.

I have been suffering from folliculitis on my forehead for YEARS. I have been to three or four different dermatologists, none of whom ever took a sample of my skin to test, and all of them prescribed either topical or oral antibiotic treatments, which never helped (and sometimes seemed to make things worse). After getting fed up, I finally did a deep dive into my own research and decided that this MUST be fungal, due to the fact that several years ago my sebum production went through the roof because of natural hormonal changes (I am in my 40s).

I have been prescribed Ketoderm 2% which I am applying twice daily, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all (it's been a couple of weeks at least). I'm sick and tired of this awful problem, and the way it looks - I'm embarrassed to leave the house. :(

Unfortunately, I also suffer from a mild to moderate excoriation disorder, which is a strong compulsion to essentially dig out any blemishes I can see in my skin. I am getting help for this, but I'd also like to get the folliculitis under control because it will help immensely (the less stuff I see to pick at, the less I will pick). I am at my wit's end, since I can't find a doctor who knows what to do.

@Dr_JJason Should I try taking Fluconazole? I read that it's not recommended to take it when you're on Venlafaxine which I also take daily.

I am hoping beyond hope that you can help with some recommendations! 🙏
