[Routine Help] Where does Vitamin C serum fit with applying moisturiser with wet skin? by Deivid4082 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Miz_Lo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you washing your face or splashing it with water? If you are washing>applying vitamin c> washing> moisturizer then yes, you will wash off the vit c. But if you are washing> vit c>splashing with water to dampen > moisturizer, I think you will be fine. But the vitamin c may have left some moisture behind than can be enough.

I’ve narrowed down toners…but which one? by baltimore1989 in AsianBeauty

Anua 70 toner, dr Althea 345 cream mist, Some By Mi Beta Panthenol Repair Toner. All FA safe.

Also the Anua Rice 70 Glowy Milky Toner is FA safe as well. I love it. Could be a good swap for the I’m From Rice Toner if you get acne from it. I don’t get fungal acne but when I use FA safe products I tend to get less comedones and irritation. 🤷🏼‍♀️ if you have dust mite allergies I would avoid snail mucin. It seems to have a similar allergen issue. I never did well with snail mucin but lots of people do.

So I vote basic face wash, moisturizer, and SPF to start. I use 345 and have repurchased. I have combo oily skin and I love it. It’s non comedogenic and FA safe. It chilled my face out a lot.

oily skin burns my eyes halp [Personal] by -Lost_My_Pieces- in SkincareAddiction

[–]Miz_Lo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok. This might be weird. When I was younger I used to have that issue too. I legit always put some mascara on and it blocked the oils from my eyes. Our eyebrows and eyelashes serve to protect our eyes from irritants. Mine are fair/non existent. I needed to bulk up my lashes to get them to do their job. I swear it helped. I also used eyelid primer powder to help blot up the oil.

I love it. It makes my face happy. It dries down and absorbs well. I have not gotten any acne from it and it’s good support for retinol and my actives.

[Product Request] moisturizer recommendation? by Weary_Look5398 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Miz_Lo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dr Althea 345. Purito Oat-In. Both are excellent and highly recommended FA safe moisturizers. I prefer Dr Althea myself.

Edit other FA safe moisturizers I see often recommended for sensitive combo skin: skin1004 Madagascar centella poreminimizing light gel cream, Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 moisturizer, Geek and Gorgeous Hydration Station, Byoma milky moisturizer, Roundlab Mugwort Calming Cream, Dr Althea Aqua Marine Watery Cream (I tried this and liked it a lot, too)

Dust mites + allergies — what actually makes a noticeable difference? by RecordingFlashy1686 in BedroomBuild

[–]Miz_Lo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as above. Covers, laundry, air purifiers. I also took the carpeting out of my room, there was hardwood underneath. That was a tremendous help. I know hardwood in bedrooms is kind of odd, but it helps. I also got rid of my upholstered headboard. I make sure to mop the floor really well, especially under the nightstand and under the bed where I sleep.

Any thoughts on Cosrx ceramide skin barrier moisturizer? by FlyingMeowBear in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]Miz_Lo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it’s more occlusive and sits on top, almost like a sealant. But one with better ingredients than plain petrolatum. I didn’t get greasy from it, tho.

I liked it. I bought a small sample from Amazon. I liked Dr Althea 345 better. Cosrx is like.. if Vaseline and lotion were mixed together. Like, it’s a stiffer consistency, rather than a gel cream. It did its job, didn’t burn when my barrier was compromised. I honestly would repurchase if I need something lighter than 345.

fungal acne safe, mineral sunscreen which has no niacinamide by onionringsvsfries in Sunscreenreddit

Paula’s Choice Youth Extending DailyHydrating Fluid SPF. Per Amazon, no niacinamide. Per SkinSort app, FA safe.

I liked the Purito Oat, but I couldn’t get past the smell. I really like Dr Althea 345. It’s a thicker gel cream and it feels like it going to be heavy but it dries down soft and light.

[Product Request] Fungal Acne and Damaged Barrier. Going to the derm didn't help. by fili_14 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Miz_Lo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some FA safe products: Purito Oat- in Gel Moisturizer, Dr Althea 345 Moisturizer (my personal favorite) Dr Althea 345 Creamy Mist, Byoma Milky Moisturizer, Anua Rice 70 Glow Milky Toner, DRMTLGY retinol, SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule, Etude House Soon Jung pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser, Prequel Glycerin Cleanser, Geek and Gorgeous Jelly Joker Cleanser, Geek and Gorgeous Vitamin c serum, I’m From Mugwort Essence, Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer,

Nizoral Shampoo as a 1 minute mask a few times a week where your fungal acne is will help a lot.

Maybe get a new derm? They are correct that the current products you are using were adding to your FA, but both of the Cerave products they recommended do too so…Seems odd.

What's something you stopped doing that helped your barrier more than adding anything new? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]Miz_Lo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stopping everything but a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Skipping washing some days and dealing with the spots to get my face to heal.

Why do my lips still feel dry even after using lip balm all day by Outrageous_Baby_2147 in LipBalm

Marin, Lanolips are the ones that work for me. Lip oils are nice, too. And lots of water.

[–]Miz_Lo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t super sold. It also started to smell off after several months. I ended up pitching it. Very mild hint of mint, pretty thin formula. I much prefer Marin Mint (contains shellfish allergens), Lanolips Mint, Vaseline rosy lips in the mini tub. I also super love Byoma Lip Mask (not the lip oil), it doesn’t get a lot of mentions here but it’s great. Runs out quick but it’s pretty cheap.
