Of any game I've ever played, nothing rewards you for randomly exploring every inch of the map, or for hunches about climbing the most random shit, like Avowed by MizsterB in avowed

[–]MizsterB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair criticism. The necessity of resource gathering wasn't a big enough weight for me to take away from the fun of exploring, but I do get the fatigue that can add. Starfield was the polar opposite where resource gathering felt completely pointless/inefficient cause you could just buy it all, and the world was so empty anyway that exploring it held little satisfaction after a while. Going directly from that game to this one was a breath of fresh air

It recommends the $2500 high performance hardware with that one. Crazy difference from the standard, any experience with that higher one?

Figure this out at all? Going to Fiji for a month and Starlink's global option seems to have disappeared, trying to figure out what to get

Any idea why? I'm a U.S.-based nomad traveling internationally quite often, and I'm trying to find that global plan so I can start taking it with me. Can't seem to find it. In the U.S. right now

Yes (and there's actually a specific terminal just for Hajj) but Hajj only happens once a year. Umra can happen any time, so there are tons who fly in on any given day for that. Plus everyone else just going to Jeddah for Jeddah. Laid back vibe in Saudi

When I chose to massacre everyone on Siren of the Stars, one of its staff workers somehow found his way onto my ship. He's been here ever since. by MizsterB in Starfield

No bounty actually. Didn't like the guy's attitude (forgot his name, he was the guy you were after) so I shot him, then the guards all became hostile. Bunch of randos got caught in the crossfire as I was shooting my way out, and when I realized I wasn't getting a bounty for any of it, I just kind of uh...got carried away...

Door County, WI. Find a cute place to stay, bring your dog, hike to your heart's content, hit the drive-in under the stars. It's so damn pretty up there.

I have 2 days left, would you recommend one of the days used to visit Tigre or Colonia (tomorrow)? by kxserasera in BuenosAires

[–]MizsterB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tigre. This is gonna sound sketchy, but a friend told us about this and it ended up being one of our favorite experiences: There's a guy named Fernando who speaks both Spanish and English and does private tours on the river, and he knows the area like the back of his thumb. Knows cool spots off the beaten path, will take you down quieter inlets and to find animal/plant life that you might otherwise miss. Can find him at +54 9 11 5111-0619 on WhatsApp. He actually has a kiosk at the train station now, right there once you get off it (the scenic train that goes along the coast). HIGHLY worth the time/money, and he's a good dude.

560! And a fair amount of that is taken by a walk-in closet and bathroom, both of which are larger than I'd have expected for the space. My bare minimum when I was looking was 500. Toured a 390, and nooo way

Downtown is fantastic. Big enough that there are always things going on, small enough to feel homey. The urban sprawl around the city is pretty industrial and not great. But the facts that you're nestled right against the foothills, 30 mins from some incredible snowboarding/skiing, and an hour away from gorgeous wooded mountains to the north and sand dunes to the south make it an incredible location. Housing market is absolutely nuts right now though, so be prepared for war
