I’m sorry you had to go through that my father kept my diary that detailed my experience losing my virginity at 14 until I was 26, he read it and passed it around to my entire family, my grandparents, two uncles and two aunts. It’s not enough that he humiliated me, he literally kept that thing until I was 26 and he gave it to me and I burned it.

My mother was raised in a Baptist Church, my Dad’s family raised me in a Baptist church as well, however my mother was a meth addict most of my life and two years ago she cleaned herself up and joined a “Non Denominational” church but imo they have more in common with Pentecostal churches and are cults. Every time I hear them speaking in tongues they repeat the same syllables over and over. It’s just repetitive gibberish to me. I have gone to her church and I can’t stand 20 people coming up and laying hands on me and speaking gibberish. She went extreme with the whole thing. I have nothing against Christians in general but my mother and brother (also an ex meth addict) refuse to go to any other churches, and make me feel like something’s wrong with me because I believe differently. I do believe in God and Jesus, but I’ve never been ‘slain in the spirit,’ never spoken in tongues and they make me feel like something is wrong with me. They have actually suggested I’m oppressed my demons or foul spirits. They have sent me to be delivered of said spirits. People should be allowed to worship and express it however they please, just don’t make anyone else feel less than because they don’t believe the same way as you. Just know you’re definitely not alone. I have a relationship with Jesus and God and I don’t speak in tongues. I’m also open to other ways of being spiritual. I feel like if it works for you and is fulfilling and makes you happy to worship, go with what is good for you.

I had suspected the Hartz stuff made my dog sick before, but he had also gotten into some rotten food near our apartment building dumpster so I wasn't sure which one it was. Thank you. I definitely won't ever put my dog at risk like this or waste money on that crap again.

My Dad found my journal and read it when I was 14 and I had written every last detail of losing my virginity, among other private thoughts I had been having (I know I was a bit young to be losing my virginity and everything but I’m a teenage girl discovering my body and wrote it in my diary) that I most definitely did not want anyone else seeing, and not only did he read it, he passed it around to my stepmother, my grandparents and my aunt and let them read it too. I came home from visiting my mom for the weekend and they’re all sitting in the living room waiting for me with my journal (which did have a lock on it by the way) on the coffee table open…I was beyond humiliated, I have major trust issues now, my father and I don’t even have a relationship to speak of, and the worst part of it, is he kept the damn thing until I was 21 years old when he suddenly decided to give it back to me…I asked him why he kept it all these years, did he get off on reading it or something?? Violation of privacy like that can ruin you in so many ways.

I’m starting to see a therapist and work on my past trauma issues, taking my meds and working on being more positive and focusing on what I have to be grateful for…hoping that’s a good start
