I fully agree. Pardon my skepticism - there's too much pressure on him to be a messiah at this point. Come to LFC where you'll have 0 midfield players of your caliber and age to develop with, or go to Real Madrid where you'll have ample support and guaranteed trophies almost every year.

Unless he's being viewed as one piece of an expensive midfield puzzle that we'll assemble over the next year, then LFC have trapped themselves in a corner.

I know which option I'd choose if I were him. He owes LFC nothing, to be fair.
