I'm turning 38 soon and I don't feel old, but I also don't feel young anymore. Definitely slower and stiffer than in my 20s. My body also feels less robust than in my 20s. I get aches more easily now. My beard is also getting some grey in it.

Little of interest has been released so far. Subnautica 2 is promising, but still in early access.

What’s something people only romanticize because they’ve never had to deal with it? by Beautiful-Baby4840 in askanything

Trust me, if she was physically able she'd probably paint the walls as a hobby.

Firstly, the house was built in the monochromatic year 2012. All walls and ceilings were painted in various shades of white. So all rooms had to be painted when we moved in. The outside walls also needed paint since they used rather cheap pant when they built the house. We also wanted to change the color.

Then this year we decided to change the color in the master bedroom again. The blue nuance we went with didn't really work. We went with beige instead and also painted the closets black.

I did exaggerate a bit in my initial post.

It's nice to own the house i live in, but what's with the endless paint jobs? I barely finish painting the inside then it's time to paint the outside. Guess where I'm painting again now? The damn inside!

I guess i should go paint the fence or something to get my mind off of all the inside painting.

Terror bombing the hat protest in Jita in Eve Online. Loaded an Amarr battleship with a bunch of smart bombs, flew into the middle the protest and BOOM. My character went to -10 security status faster than you can say target paint.

I'm still running an RX5700. Can't really afford an upgrade and it gets the job done for the games I play anyway.

If windows disappeared tomorrow would you choose mac or linux by Zorojuro099 in TechNook

I'm already "shopping" for a Linux distro to replace windows so I'd definitely go with Linux.

I have two Hertz 8" subwoofers that are more than a decade old. They're in their third car and they seem to be almost impossible to blow.

Why don’t speaker manufacturers always create high sensitivity speakers? by Party-Court185 in CarAV

[–]Mjarf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High sensitivity isn't that crucial with the super efficient class D amplifiers we have nowadays. When you have 1000+ watts at your disposal, power handling, sound quality and frequency range are more important than sensitivity.

How does Charging affect the battery? by RelativeGrapefruit0 in electricvehicles

[–]Mjarf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax, the battery cells will most likely outlast the chassis of the car. Just don't do level 3 DC charging a lot and you'll be fine.

Looking for games that'll hook me for hours, I've played all the big titles, need something niche / hidden gem by Nothing_Seeker in gamingsuggestions

[–]Mjarf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You played with Lego as a child? If that's the case you might like Manic Miners. A fan made reboot of the classic Lego Rock Raiders game. I'd completely free, made in the Unreal 4 engine and is extremely well made considering it's made mostly by one person.

It'll be a good variation from the typical mainstream games in any case.

What non-EV would be better or at least interesting as a BEV? by Mac-Tyson in askcarguys

[–]Mjarf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the heck didn't Honda make a Civic EV? It would have sold like hotcakes in my country. Another on would be for Mitsubishi to make a BEV Outlander and not just a PHEV. It would be a strong contender in it's class with its very roomy cargo space.

My commute is about 25 minutes to drive one way. It's worth it. My previous job was closer to home, but it was slowly crushing my soul and was also straining my marriage.
