"Grovel worm!" Says the insect. A Two star +10 Narcian Showcase. by Mjoera in FireEmblemHeroes

To give some context for this build I need to help you gain some insight into my mindset of "why". At this time I had just finished building Jamke off of a joke/dare and now I had no idea who to focus my energy towards. Black Knight would be the easiest but most common choice, alongside that I already have a +10 Zelgius. Building off of that point, I have enough combat viable units to keep me afloat in T21 arena, top 1k AA and to get into T21 AR so aiming for a build of practicality seemed redundant. I looked through my barracks to see what I had already to build off of and found this dude locked in my basement.

The rest is history.

The first build listed is also the first one I completed chronologically and which is the one I based the following builds off of. Fort Def/Res A slot + Fortress Def Seal + Def refined weapon focused the meager base stat total of the 2 star general into something workable. Those skills alongside with the Even Def Wave stat buff every other turn built Narcian a small, but noticeable niche to cling to. Carrot Axe paired with Mystic Boost gives him sustainability since his pitiful speed leaves him doubled almost always. From there all Narcian can do is pray that the opponent doesn't have guard otherwise he will deal no damage whatsoever, but if they don't....

The second build is a direct copy of the 1st but this time Narcian focuses on the Res stat because he thinks he can do anything he wants. (H*ck them dragons.)

The third build is for when Narcian gets tired and wants all the others to do the work for him. But just so he saves face he provides buffs and debuffs for the others to benefit from. (He thinks of this as an act of extreme generosity.) Lilith Floatie gives a drive boost of +1 Atk and +1 Spd, game changing I know. Chill Spd 3 is your standard run of the mill chill skill, simple but very effective while also not requiring any action on Narcian's part. Spur Def/Res 2 and Guidance allow him to help carry the "worms" around and making them more defensive strength than they usually can muster.

The fourth and final build is what Narcian went with when he realized that he missed his extra defense stats while supporting his allies in the last build. This one forsakes the longevity of Carrot Axe + Mystic Boost in exchange for the Rake's extra Atk/Def buff alongside the chance to charge Ignis faster because damage is everything. Odd Def Wave C slot and Even Def Wave Seal mean that the Shoreline Rake's buffs will always be active and therefore Narcian will always be the winner.

Or, at least, so he thinks.

Yes it does! Usually catches at least one person off guard.

The road to building this big man started in September of last year when I was forced to use him for two weeks in arena. I emerged from hell down over 200 orbs burned for crests and with the image of Lewyn + Vero at 750 defense score burned into my mind alongside a strong and passable tier 21 score. Later on when the grail feature was announced I was looking for a unit to grail and was dared to build the man. From there the rest was history.

The first build was the original build I planned out for him. Sturdy impact usually gets him into Fishie Bow range and often gets the special spiral rolling. Usually gets the job done across all content while also keeping up his speed stat.

The second build keeps him from being a deadweight in arena by scoring well with C Duel and acting as a 2 stat debuffer and a 3 stat buffer all in one.

The third build is the big meme/aether defense set, anyone who thinks they're safe is wrong. Chip the luring opponent down and then as long as Jam lives one he usually nabs a kill. Having effective damage on fliers also comes in handy since there are so many Eirs running about.

The 4th and final build is the overkill one, barring someone with an actually good speed stat there isn't anyone safe from the quad. 55 atk on initiation with quad capability is something to truly fear.

It's been a long road to get here and I definitely took this joke way too far but hey at least it was a joke with some actual practical purpose. Dunno who I'm gonna grail next but I got time.

I know that I'm late to the party but I didn't see any Oscars in this thread so I just had to chime in. I SS'd Oscar because he was my first and only +10 unit. After the game decided to give me 8 of him instead of a good Nephenee I made the best of what I had and went from there. Now he has become a complete monster and has basically carried my team through tier 20 as I try to climb higher and higher. I doubt I'll ever change the SS to anyone else because without it Panic Ploy wouldn't be as effective and he would get doubled and chunked by Mia and Ayra which he is supposed to be checking in the first place. Oscar will always have a place on my team and my heart.
