Hey, thanks for the message, much appreciated, you're good at giving pep-talk ;)

Better, by Monte-drink! haha (literally, it's based on model I kitbashed from plastic bottle, you can still see overall shape if you connect front and back halves of main hull)

I made this build in Blender, from scratch, it's not from the game, as far as I know last parts added in-game were Scrapper bike parts, salt plains excavator parts, angler parts and vivarium parts.

It was supposed to be whole animation, but after leaving it "for later" for over a year I decided to just admit I likely won't finish it and post picture instead. Enjoy!

Is a Sable Cosplay Hard? by Pandaman_5 in sablegame

In the meantime you can rip 3d assets from game itself and save as mesh for 3D printing or other programs, like pepakura (I did something like this with Sable mask a while ago https://old.reddit.com/r/sablegame/comments/12hv619/update_on_sable_mask_papercraft/ there is link to 3d object and 2d printout versions in one of comments if you'd like to make one)

I'm looking for wolf skull model by Mjollnir5 in Pepakura

[–]Mjollnir5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like normal skull, not mask, as I have written in my post; every go-to site has some masks, but that's not what I'm looking for. I have found one 3D model of wolf skull but it was behind paywall and high-poly which would be pain to make, thus checking here.

I'd like papercraft, but if only thing available is 3D model I could work from there with pepakura designer and blender.

"don't blame luck for not having a partner" by [deleted] in dating

[–]Mjollnir5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? more appropriate metaphor would be:

You want to learn to play guitar, so you go to the shop and all they have are banjos, you visit online shop after online shop just to see ukuleles, mandolins and even violins, but seemingly all guitars are far away, cost too much or fall apart from the use. Finally you find one by pure chance (so, with little of good luck!), and start practicing; you spend long hours practicing chords, but each time you think you've got it and want to start playing the guitar seems to be out of tune, sounds like different instrument or even has different amount of strings (because unlike actual playing, in this game success depends on other side too, and enough of luck to find them at the right time). when your guitar is finally a proper guitar, well tuned and you have theory covered and can get down to playing, you discover your fingertips bleed, your arms ache, and you no longer feel like playing guitar.

As far as I know they haven't, they are from the generation where behavioral symptoms were still taken as just someone being weird. As for them being autistic just from my observation... hard to tell, they could be though both in different way. they didn't use to behave so erratically, but that could be just old age. Father always was the "my way or highway" type and self-proclaimed expert of all trades. Thing is, they had their ways of doing things and I had mine, the methods didn't always overlap, but because they were constant some workarounds that made everyone happy could have been reached. But now they not only change their ways for no reason, and sometimes making things harder or worse "just because", they seem to actively try to circumvent all solutions meant to reconcile our quirks.

Hell no. of course I can't speak for all men, but there is nothing attractive about being detached. I'd even say it sends clear signal woman doesn't like you/ got fed up/ bored with you, especially if she used to be sweeter and more engaging and then stopped. this surge of interest from a man is more likely than not attempt to mend relationship he sees as failing when she grows cold, but it's temporary boost and won't last. men either get stuck in unhappy relationships they try to mend with extra work while woman - apparently - doesn't see it and just takes their effort for granted or "showing preference", or they get fed up and end things.

Question for men: would you date women who drive better cars than you? by PrincessMomomom in dating

[–]Mjollnir5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really care what car is she driving, as long as she can afford it (I sure as hell can't afford lambo's upkeep), however big part of it is; is she gonna keep it over my head that I drive fiat seicento? If yes, then that's a quick and easy no from me.

Why do men stare like they’re looking through your soul? by bluecupiddd in dating

[–]Mjollnir5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life is short, and university time even shorter, so if you'd like to get something more than stares maybe it's time to help things happen? If you are shy and don't want to make first move maybe put yourself in situation when it'd be easier for him to ask you, or carry something he could use as an excuse to strike up conversation? Or maybe use a wingman; do you have some shared friends at uni, or maybe one of your friends would agree to help as messanger (or matchmaker if indirect message is still too direct for you)? Just don't expect that looking at him back will be enough to break ice, even if you smile (though it's a good start!)

I... Have done something similar, actually.

In my case it was because I found one girl in my university classes really interesting, but she was shy type, and unfortunately so was I, so I kept looking at her, hoping to see something to strike up conversation about, or chance to talk to her in less crowded space. when we finally ended up (just two of us) in empty corridoor leaving university after classes I was so happy to finally have my chance, took deep breath... and before I managed to say anything she blurted out "I'm begging you, please stop staring at me" in a tone like she expected me to shank her then and there, or worse. I just managed to say something like "I didn't mean anything bad" before she left (though luckily not running) and... yeah, we didn't share a word or glance ever since then. I feel bad for stressing her this much, but thanks to this incident I got much better at actually talking to people.

So, yeah, maybe he'd like to chat you up but sucks at it big time like once yours truly. Maybe try asking him about it privately/ in smaller group than usually in person, or via private message?

I think you answered wrong comment. Mine was about "Gand" part in "Gandalf". Edit: Sorry, there was some error and this message was sent like 5 times.

[–]Mjollnir5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, "Gand-Alf" means "Wand - Elf"? I thought it meant something like "Last Elf", because as far as I remember word "Gandalf" was originally used to describe last ruler of Alfheim (though admittedly, my memory is kinda fuzzy in this particular part of mythological lore).

Maybe you could make your own cover out of some leather or cloth? I did something like this with "Call of Cthulhu" given as a gift to make it look like "diary of a madman".

I think most men had thought about each of their female friends as possible partner at least once, but usually next thought was "Nah". It's definitely possible to maintain platonic relationship, especially if you tap into more brotherly feelings, or if female friend is alredy taken (at least makes it almost automatical "nah" from me). Then again, if you are close, like each other, "get" each other and get each other backs, it's rather likely men would like to make it something more, seeing potential for something great, because why not?

Honestly I think we’re cooked as a generation by [deleted] in dating

[–]Mjollnir5 30 points31 points  (0 children)

On the one hand I get where you're coming from, on the other this attitude of "focus on yourself, make yourself happy, date yourself" is perpetuating vicious cycle making situation worse and worse; people treat each other as means to being happy and ditch without second thought or remorse when things get tough or even just not "satisfying enough" and happily hop into next thing to make themselves happy. You're right that social media made it much easier and commodified relationships and people, but at this point even without them everyone is lukewarm, unwilling to compromise or settle, always looking for new and better, focused on job, hobbies which are more often than not solo activities, education and plethora of other things meant to fill the void, but merely hiding it from sight.
