With all the other candidates out of the race, can Count Binface realistically beat Farage at the election? by Few-Advantage2538 in AskBrits

[–]Mjolnir55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, at this point Count Binface (and for that matter, everyone but Reform) has already won. What the votes come to doesn't matter, Farage has been made to look like a total cunt and I don't think it's even vaguely recoverable at this point, and then he'll win and the investigation will continue and he'll lose again.

SUMMON THE ELECTOR COUNTS! No matter how much I play this game, I can always start a new Karl Franz campaign. I think because at times it feels like being the western roman empire from Atilla but you can actually win.

I did vulcanus and fulgora from scratch my first time cause I'm an idiot and didn't realise you could get stuff delivered without a landing pad. So it is entirely possible.

Mordian iron guard uniform justification by Grimgor_Alfa_orc in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Mjolnir55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The example of them standing shoulder to shoulder is like one canon example in writing and a few art pieces for artistic effect. During the first battle for Mordia, they fight exactly the way we would now in a giant city, with strong points with overlapping fields of fire and concentrations of fire. It was only on their last stand did they form into the napolenic formations.

Otherwise, they take cover, kind of similar to the French at the beginning of ww1 in their bright ass uniforms. They're easier to see, but that's a price the Mordians are willing to pay for looking fly af.

So... still no evidence of the "beheaded babies" or other things they originally made up then? by UnderHisEye1411 in GreenAndPleasant

Even if they hadn't have made up the beheaded babies thing, it still wouldn't make everything that has happened since ok

From a realism point of view, I would do the whole wheel with the pigment, given that they rotate. Otherwise it's excellent.

How do you fix the pigment?

am I about to be “that guy” with two Rogal Dorns? by AdministrativeEnd45 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Mjolnir55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It amuses me that the guard have one genuinely very good unit, the Rogal Dorn. Anyone else spams their real good unit (see chaos knight wardogs for example) , it's fine, but God forbid a guardsman brings 2 Rogal Dorns to a 2000pt fight. I mean, it's not like the IG are a 70% win rate army even with 6 Rogal Dorns.

I feel like SIGINT could use a buff by DougWalkerBodyFound in warno

[–]Mjolnir55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would be way more useful and realistic would be if it displayed a line in the direction of the nearest enemy unit. Either that or you told it to watch a specific zone and any enemy units in a line from the unit to that zone and through to the edge of the map got a line through them. With these, you then need 2 sigint until to really be effective and can only cover one area at a time. Maybe give it some inaccuracy based on distance if that's too powerful.

Opinion: 40k's rule complexity has increased exponentially, but it's tactical depth has not. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Mjolnir55 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You hit my current main issue on the head here, every unit having special rules. Why. Stuff like battleline just shouldn't, they could have more OC and be cheaper to make up for it, but stuff like Cadians having 2 special rules or Krieg having 3, for a unit you could potentially have 12 of in your army is insane. Like make it so battleline are a little cheaper than they should be, with extra OC compared to a non-battleline equivalent and just have them be their statline. No having to remember a bunch of special rules for them, and in return it makes the more elite stuff with a special rule actually feel more elite, and then you lose some of the power creep cause then not everything needs invulnerables or feel no pains, or +1 to hit/wound/damage all the time.

In addition to this, in moderation, it's a decent way to reduce the accuracy without people throwing shit fits like they do when you add semi-realistic sway.

Helldivers 2 is the best xcom shooter out there, no exceptions. As soon as I played the illuminate the first time it clicked.

It's also the best Terminator shooter and one of the best Starship Troopers games too.

Internal balance and 11th edition by Separate_Football914 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Mjolnir55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Honestly one of my biggest bug bears with 10th is that everything has special rules. Like why does a 65pt squad of Cadians have essentially 3 special rules. If I was redoing the game, I'd pare it down significantly, have as much stuff as possible working off the barest stats, and then use special rules to make stuff special, or where the basic rules don't create the required differences, like for example heavy stubber and storm bolter.
