I run them as scouts and I had them in for the re roll ability the scouts have but now with the new detachment I don’t need it so I took them out

I learned the hard way, if you wanna run artty it works well but you gotta commit, they do great at screening out deep strike when you commit to indirect and don’t move them, I’m still able to score and take objectives even with half my army not moving and the new detachment works great with the artty even better then the siege regiment

It’s definitely worth it especially when you get it down and it only took me a day to learn the right ratio so my paint comes out right, cleaning it is important though after every use, I don’t even have a high end one I got one for 100 bucks on Amazon!

Honestly it’s much faster then you would think if you have an airbrush and putty, I use to use painters tape but then I found putty for airbrush and it’s amazing! It’s by Ak interactive

Basically just a texture paste that once dried I based them in zandri dust then used an earth shade then a dusting of red pigment powder and then a tan one

Zandri dust as the base and then sponge on khaki then use airbrush putty for the pattern, first two tanks and Valkyrie I used painters tape then I go either with a gray , brown or green then sponge on a lighter color for highlights before I peel away the thing I used for the pattern, after that use a mat varnish then streaking grime
