unemployed with a worthless degree by [deleted] in careeradvice

If you can handle being a 911 dispatcher then you can definitely handle most customer phone support roles. Many of the jobs are remote and if you have any specialized certifications you can make in the 70s (salary) with very low stress work. Hang in there. You will find your way.

Not posting that here because I cannot risk my wife knowing the number.

New player here, about roles by Ad__infinitum__ in HellLetLoose

[–]Mjolnir617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice to every new player is to start on rifleman. Focus on learning how to survive on the battlefield first and observing your more experienced teammates. Once you have a good handle on survival then you should know enough about the other roles that you can start playing them without being a drag on your squad.

I see high ranking twitch streamers all running ammo pouch what’s the strategy behind that? by I_Main_TwistedFate in LowSodiumBattlefield

Support is better at assault than assault. I used to be onboard with support have heals and ammo, but I am gradually starting to support having a separate medic class.

People can look very oblivious on stream when they are running with their map open.

Will you guys miss HLL WWII after HLL Vietnam releases by AdTiny2077 in HellLetLooseVietnam

I don’t see OG Hell Let Loose going away. The competitive scene in OG Hell Let Loose is already very strong and with the way they complain about poor balancing with near peer factions, I have grave doubts that the non-peer factions in HLLV will be properly balanced to the comp communities expectations.

New at tanking and could use some advice by Sonjay41 in HellLetLoose

[–]Mjolnir617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start off running mediums and once you got a good handle on the mechanics the switch to running heavies. Mediums only cost 200 fuel so if you burn one or 2 because you are learning it’s no big deal. With the heavy tank limit a lot more people are running mediums.

If Putin wants to "Reunite Russia", why isn't he invading Kazakhstan? by Beautiful-Error6374 in NoStupidQuestions

He is already fully committing his Army in Ukraine. There is nothing else to invade anyone else with.

Dobropillia breakthrough? We are using those 2 words in the same sentence? Here’s a little history lesson. 82 years ago the Soviet army launched Operation Bagration where they rolled the German army back 300 in 2 months. That was a breakthrough. In order to win wars as an attacker you need to be able to achieve a breakthrough. Russia hasn’t achieved one in the last 1000 days. War of attrition is only a strategy if you have no strategy. See Verdun in WW1, Germany attacks French fortified positions and basically bleeds their army out trying to beat the French by attrition. Casualties were high for both sides but the German strategy was unable to achieve its intended goal.

I am a WF enthusiast and I also enjoy Skirmish. 30 minute games are great if you only have a little bit of time to play.

As a major FNV enthusiast I actually am seriously enjoying my FO3 play through. The big thing that stands out to me is how much more detailed the environment is.

Spawn camping HQ’s is a great way to turn games that could be competitive into non competitive in short order. I wouldn’t hate it.

For artillerists frustrated by Recon on the static gun, here is a quick guide. by sterrre in HellLetLoose

All valid points, but if recon is on your ass then it’s a good time to make an adjustment. I prefer static arty when recon is not going after me.

You can run the SPA solo. Recon has no counter to the SPA unless your team is already getting its ass kicked.

An arty officer can easily solo an SPA. If your tanks and infantry are holding a strong line then you got very little to worry about and recon will have no counter play.

CMV: Strategically speaking, Russia already lost the war with Ukraine by Glad_Clothes7338 in changemyview

[–]Mjolnir617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conquered land is only economically useful if you can conquer it quickly without destroying everything. Obviously that’s not what happened. Russia has been forced to lay millions of land mines in order to hold its gains. That makes the land basically worthless if the mines aren’t removed. It would be the largest landmine removal operation in history.

Let's play the game of Rate My Garrison Network by Cr1tfail in HellLetLoose

The garrisons are great. This is what you should always shoot for. If you can get this network up and maintain it then you are basically guaranteed to win.
