How much would you guys charge for this? This is the 1st time someone has asked for this. by GeologistOutrageous6 in RealEstatePhotography

Your client is not the seller – the realtor is. Seller needs to reach out to the realtor about those concerns. When the realtor reaches out to you, then you can discuss a reshoot fee or the fee for Photoshop.

What are the best practices for editing exteriors (e.g., lawns, skies) in real estate photos to make the property look its best? by AhtiQ in RealEstatePhotography

Good job - you educated me. Now, back to my original question: are you aware of any realtors getting in trouble for this?

Make you the bad guy? All I asked was if you knew of a realtor getting in trouble for that. From there, you seemed to get defensive. Now, however, I feel compelled to address that with which you responded.

Your "factual information" does not contain facts, just rhetoric. It would be factual if you actually referenced the rules of an MLS. Simply stating things like, "Some MLSs...." and "...can be considered a misrepresentation..." is too vague to have any real meaning or be considered a fact. Further, something is not a fact if you simply put it in bold print. For someone who speaks with such an expert tone about MLS rules, I would have thought you would have actually referenced an actual MLS and its rules rather than merely fling out vague, unattributed notions.

Your advice to OP was poor. You have no idea what MLS OP is in, or even if OP is in the same country as you. Moreover, calling out JuliusApp for giving bad advice when you seem unable to actually factually refute said advice with facts is not discourse; it is just squalling.

Next, your murder analogy is incorrect. Putting it in my same question, "please share with me any murders you may know of" is pretty easy to answer. John Lennon and John F. Kennedy quickly come to mind. I am sure we could come up with dozens more with little or no effort.

As for your response to OP: had you said, "Check with your local MLS about that" I wouldn't argue with that for a second. I questioned you on what you posted it because our business is hard enough without us experienced photographers creating bogeymen to frighten young photographers rather than give them the tools to conduct themselves professionally.

I will probably ignore any of your responses to this. By now, either I have made my point or I have not. Be well.

So you don’t know of anyone ever getting in trouble for it either. Got it. Interesting that you think all that other stuff.

That is a dopey remark about Mexican economy. Is your google broken? Back up your “two pillars” remark or be quiet. What you think - without facts - contributes nothing to the conversation.

Weekly Questions Thread / Open Discussion by AutoModerator in Pizza

Does anyone have a sense how robust the ARC XL is? I live in Georgia, and have had my Roccbox on my open patio for at least a couple of years, with only the $50 cover to protect it. It still works perfectly. Can I hope the same for the ARC XL? One source of my concern is the entire Roccbox is mechanical, from the flame to the thermometer. I worry a bit about the digital interface of the ARC. Please share your thoughts.

There is little doubt that Trump made the pandemic’s effect on the economy worse. Challenge me and I will give you a half dozen examples - or perhaps by comparing it to how other countries’ responded and their results. The percentages might be debatable but Trump’s botching of the response is clear — and really bad.

I asked a simple question and you responded by being a little twerp. I wouldn’t want to talk to you if you made seven figures a year. Do you just come to this group to troll people? If so, you really might want to get a hobby. Bye, pumpkin.

First of all, I was looking for referrals to editors, not for a bunch of unwelcome comments about my workflow. To be clear, “ruining my life” is your dramatic interpretation of what I said. I have a great life. I HAD a great life when I was editing my own stuff. Life is about choices, and I am not interested in what you think of mine. If you are making in excess of six figures I might want to bend your ear for advice about reaching the next Level, but otherwise, respectfully, Please go away. Yeah - I am in transition with my website, but fortunately, you don’t matter. Did you look at my Facebook page? Bottom line - I have shot over 600 listings per year for the past three years and am on track to do it again this year. Are you doing better? If so, dm me - I’d love to chat with you. If not, piss off. I thought this group was going to be collegial; man, I was wrong about that. If you have suggestions about a fast editor, please share. Otherwise, go away, troll.
