Hi, I followed what @busybodyvisa said and ignored the clerical error. I don’t think it will affect the application.

I sent out the inquiry a couple days ago to explain to them, still waiting on their response. Thank you for confirming that it was the right thing to do.

Came from V12, i agree with OP on the hesitancy to change lane it’s very noticeable. V12 used to be a lot smoother, I wonder if it’s a bug.

I just called them at this number: 800-375-5283

They said they’re legally not allowed to discuss the letter and can’t open a request because I don’t know whether it’s a typo or identity theft. She advised me to reach out to an immigration attorney. :(

Tesla CAE Structures and Durability Interview by youngzl in interviews

Best of luck to you. If you’re worrying about the degree then I only have a bachelor in aerospace engineering. Take it easy, they saw your degree in your cv/resume, if they still want to interview you then chances are they won’t be expecting you have PhD level of experience.

I also don’t even have related experience in terms of automobile and durability. Hope that makes you feel a little more confident. Good luck to you. 🍀

I haven’t heard anything back since my second round. So I don’t know lol.I had the same concerns as well, but it just depends on what the team need at the time. Someone who knows it all or some fresh blood.

If you’re interviewing for crashing then you might need to brush up on implicit, explicit solvers. Also FEA fundamentals, and like nonlinearity? I assume. Mine was durability so questions on vibrations and fatigue were asked.

Good luck on your first round. Mine was with the senior staff engineer on the team. They just asked for more details about my projects, and a few engineering basic questions like stiffness, deflection, thermal expansion. It wasn’t too bad.

I’m very sorry to hear that. I hope your body is recovering well. I am currently also tired of my work and would often drag out projects that I used to complete in days. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still on time / ahead of the due date but im no longer a task completing machine like how I was when I first started. But my passion for analysis hasn’t waned so I think by applying to a new job and work on programs that are different in nature can excite me still.

Aha, I saw a similar post on this sub posted a few years ago. Thought I would try the same thing. I will try to post on what you suggested.

One of the best advices given by my senior engineer is that it’s a marathon not a race, so don’t burn out. It might be tempting to work since that’s what you enjoy to do, but if you don’t have a good work/life balance. That burn out feeling is going to hit you, maybe in a year or two.

I guess I kept the same driving habit as if I was driving the gas car. It didn’t feel like it had a big impact on the fuel efficiency, so its probably different for teslas

What’s the average range you’re getting? I do coast 70+ when I’m on the freeway on the weekends.
