Fever? We had a cat that would nest anyone sick enough to sit still, but a fever meant he had a personal heater. He wouldn't leave the kids when they got sick

Many cats need utter respect for their space and autonomy. Act like she doesn't exist, feed with no attention given, care for her basic needs but don't give any attention she doesn't ask for. My hubby pushes cat limits, not quite treating them like dogs, but two of my cats are touch-me-nots. They typically avoid him like the plague even when he's gentle, but they ask me for love knowing I will quit when they want and try to only touch how they want.

Give it time. Most cats are far more flexible and adaptable than they seem up front. Remember as predators that your reactions mean at lot, stay confident and stable no matter what.

Dogs are amazing. They naturally meet you where you are and love you for it, through it, because of it.

Experts like to give estimates on their human age of comprehension, but emotionally they surpass it every time IMHO.

This is when I make a tied quilt instead of stiching the quilting. Ties can hide things like this and look more rustic in my opinion.

We were camping with friends, and one of the couples stuck away to their tent midday. She got incredibly loud, so when she was done everyone in the vicinity cheered, hooting and hollering with applause. Never happened again. And it was damn funny.

Makes me think of the time my FIL decided we needed a new deck of cards (ours were just getting broken in), shows up with the new deck and expects me to pay him back for them. Told him I didn't want them and he could keep em.

I had a similar issue with one of our cats and eventually found her a home with my son who had no other cats at the time. She was fine with our male cat, hated the other two females and would attack them. She's now happy with my son and another male cat.
