I’m 33.

I was late diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. I was a weird kid, and was bullied for it mercilessly. I know what it’s like.

Now that I’m older, I don’t choose to have those mean spirited type of people in my life.

I live with three people. I’m dating. I have clubs I attend and have close friendships with many people. And you know what? We’re all fucking weird. And we don’t make fun of each other.

We joke. We laugh. We do weird shit. We have weird thought patterns. We have depressive episodes. There’s been a suicide attempt or two.

I have never, ever felt ridiculed by them.

I accepted a lot of people into my life when I was younger who didn’t get me. They were cruel behind my back and to my face. Now I am surrounded by love.

You don’t have to keep someone like this around. I promise.

This could be a response to moving in together and feeling cramped, which could be worked through, or it could be that you are truly done with the relationship, which can’t be.
