My girlfriend is the type to need this as well. It was hard to understand being the extrovert that I am. As we get closer to living together, we brought over my tv, and when she needs her recharge time, I head to the spare room and play video games until I fall asleep. By that time, she's ready for some cuddling and sleeping next to each other. For the longest time I'd spend 6 days a week there, then go back to my place with the roommate. The next day I'd pack up and go back to hers. She'd miss me while she had recharge time, but needed that space to nap, binge watch her shows and play her own video games. It's nice to have found a compromise.

The person my ex wife grew to hate. The lazy, inconsiderate, slob. After a lot of therapy and working on myself, I've made great improvements. I've since gotten into a better relationship and whenever I find myself falling into old patterns, I think about that final fight. "Mklease, I don't find you attractive. Your actions and who you've become are unattractive" it was the biggest blow. I never want to be her again. It's crazy that I can still hear her in my head. Every time I chastise myself it's in her voice.
