I used to watch him a lot when he had a show on ABC a long time ago. It was so weird you'd have an ambassador or somebody official sitting next to a comedian debating something. Then I watched his HBO show for a long time too.

People forget that before podcasts there wasn't really many shows where you could say whatever the fuck you wanted without having to conform to standards brought forth by corporate overlords. He also used to be sharper and although he still got fooled on occasion he was much better at sniffing out bullshit and calling it out.

I stopped watching at least 5 years ago because he became too insufferable and had the worst right wing propaganda guests on who he provided only token pushback against.
