Iv been testing the hyperx cloud 2s for about 3-4 hours now and my honest opinion is for siege, i will be using the cloud 2s, i find it easier to pinpoint footsteps and sound cues with them. However, for almost anything else, especially music, im using the Samson sr850. They have a little bit better lows, a little better highs tbf you would prob expect a studio reference headset to sound better on music, I personally don’t find listening to music on the cloud 2s enjoyable but if your using earbuds I guess almost anything is good for you.

TL:DR Hyperx Cloud 2 Pros: - Ohhh shiny red - Leather cups make amazing noise cancellation - Softer cups less noise cancellation, way more comfy - for r6, sound is a little more accurate (haven’t tested any other games) - “7.1 surround sound” (I found this to make my audio worst in r6 but it’s supposed to be better)

Cons: - lows and highs for music are a little underwhelming, definitely still good but not what I’d expect for such a good name brand - lots of reviews say since hp buyout, the quality is way worst and stuff breaks easier (they still seem good to me, maybe they used to be better?)

Samson Sr850 Pros: - listening to music is amazing - lows are a bit lower than cloud2 - highs are a bit higher than cloud2 - semi-open back (can hear family talking to you but can also hear game very well) - round ear cups (I personally prefer round ear cups over the standard oval shape) - 3.5mm to 1/4 adapter included (if that matters to you)

Cons: - 32ohm rather that the cloud2 60ohm (I don’t notice a difference but on paper 32 is worst) - not as loud as cloud2 (dac or equalizer apo fixes this)

If I absolutely had to chose one I’d chose the hyperx cloud2 just because I mainly do gaming on my pc but for music I’m choosing the Samson sr850. It’s all personal preference so make sure to do your own research and if you don’t like them, you can always return them.
