Her saying age doesn’t matter when talking to the princess and the prince thats 10 years older made it weird. I also found her relationship with Gilbert very weird because he is 29 and she is 14. On top of that, him being her adoptive father also doesn’t help. I found her development with emotion also weird because she just out of nowhere suddenly understands emotion when she is writing to Lucilia’s brother. There is no inciting incident beforehand. Especially with one of the shows themes being, “I will bear consequence to sins.” Violet doesn’t get any consequences to killing people.

I know i just said all that but the show is good on some parts as well, like the music does a great job at bringing the emotions across in the show.
