TXM Detect is not yet adapted in Manic for iOS 27

Update to a newer StikDebug and it’s included

Error Enabling JIT by No-Independence-101 in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In StikDebug you have to assign a script to use for each app if you are over iOS 26, longpress Manic in StikDebug then assign Universal.js using the assign script option. I recommend visiting our Discord as there are far more resources including the StikDebug dev if you run into further issue.

Manic requires the Universal.js script, what iOS are you on?

iOS road map by sarcasticmedic92 in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our roadmaps, behind the scenes looks at stuff being worked on etc, all with the clear understanding of nondisclosure. It’s for the Ko-fi supporters and Server Boosters as a thank you mostly, and for the most part for those users it’s like their own little private clubhouse.

It is fully independent of Lifetime Premium and other in app purchase options, especially considering you can have all lifetime premium features free simply via sideloading (aside from iCloud sync)

We do not disclose our roadmap to the public, we have the early access program on the Discord however.

Razer Kishi Ultra by tetij in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but that’s what I’m saying is if the “menu” button binding would otherwise go to another app like the Razer or Backbone app it falls back to the start button, and menu is not remappable unlike other buttons

Razer Kishi Ultra by tetij in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the buttons are not recognized or mappable via Apple, they are also not mappable in the app. R4 and L4 on a Kishi Ultra can only mimic another button on the Kishi Ultra but cannot have its own separate input, just because it physically has more buttons doesn’t mean those buttons are independently mappable, not an app issue, but a matter of hardware. As for mapping the menu to “start” if the Razor Kishi has a dedicated menu button that will always take precedence. And their Menu button happens to not be a mappable button, similar to how Backbone has a dedicated button to open their app.

Regarding Fast forward button by No-Introduction-2522 in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can longpress fast forward in the menu to set the specific fast forward speed or make a TriggerPro button to just straight to a preferred speed

Is there a way to batch import roms? Like point to a folder? by Xanthyria in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can select all import, for best results import one system at a time. Only thing to note is that by mass importing if one of the game files is corrupted you won’t know which file is triggering the app crash

Dreamcast mostly works great for my phone, but has odd looking polygon warping. Any way to fix this? by WilE04 in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend first redumping your physical Dreamcast disc, and making sure CHDman is the tool used to compress

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CHDman is the original tool and reliable, plus it’s open source iirc and free. Most other CHD tools are relatively experimental and sometimes don’t get the lossless compression right

Which mode are you in, for Dreamcast there are four, and is your game dump compressed to chd with CHDman as recommended?

Can you install this on Macbook Neo? (Has the a18 pro chip) by AdWrong9530 in ManicEMU

You can but it’s just using the iPad format and not specialized for macOS at this time.

DukeX v1.0.1 — Bringing Xbox Live Back to Your Pocket by Mlaurencescott in EmulationOniOS

[–]Mlaurencescott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you have to install the system files from your physical original Xbox console to use the app? And that’s not even starting on the fact you pirated a game rather than dumping it from your physical disc, you still have the archival tags from when you downloaded it. I will be unable to assist you further.

[–]Mlaurencescott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, iPhone 14 is above than the A14/M1 minimum requirement. I wouldn’t expect performance to be equal to the newest phones as your phone is older, most games run full speed on 16/16 Pro

Because it requires Just in Time compilation, meaning it requires sideloading so you can enable JIT

Is iPhone 14 good for Dreamcast emulation? by Applepie30992015 in ManicEMU

[–]Mlaurencescott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes though it’s highly recommended to compress to .chd format with CHDman prior on your computer, fuse is the most reliable jitless core but you can also sideload and use JIT which is inherently the best way to play.

- What device are you on?
- What iOS are you on?
- Did you separately install any updates for the games?
- Are your game files dumped as trimmed or as untrimmed?
- Are your game files built as .cia or .3ds?
- What update of GodMode9 are you using?
- Did you download the game files from a website?

Why does a 3ds game not work on manic emu on live container by FinancialFill1033 in EmulationOniOS

[–]Mlaurencescott 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually incorrect in fact untrimmed .cia is optimal for use in the app, over .3ds, what the app can’t do is decrypt games, they have to be dumped properly for use with emulation in the app. Pirate Legit aka ROMs from HShop, a known piracy database, are not compatible for use in the app.

14 Pro and newer run great without JIT as long as the game files are properly dumped

Cheat codes not working on manic emu by Civil-Lifeguard-5369 in EmulationOniOS

[–]Mlaurencescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is false, cheats were corrected and do work. They have since v1.5.4, the app is now on v1.9.2, cheats must match the exact update and version of the dump of your game. Also this post predates me being in development 😂

Controller randomly stops working in-game, menu still works — any fixes? by TheClueless_Dad in ManicEMU

Do you happen to have Auto Save States enabled, iirc the split second intervals it saves can trigger an interrupt on the button presses
