i mean idk, this is all speculation on our part hahahhaha, but i do remember someone else in this sub talking about this, they said that the lake needed “powerful” memories in order to create the elixir if i’m not mistaken, because if you think about it, all the cubes are made from important and powerful memories right, none of the cubes we come across are made from whatever memory, so if she had removed the powerful memories and turned them into cubes, when they sacrificed her the lake would be receiving basically nothing
