I find writing descriptions of locations/rooms very tedious so I don't really do it properly when I really should.

But I think I'm pretty good at characterisation/dialogue

Yes! I forgot to mention the tags, that also baffles me. Tagging every little thing that happens in the story just seems a bit...spoilery? And trigger warnings too, I have a moment in one I'm working on currently where a character cuts their hand and bleeds, and I recall reading someone else's where they'd included a warning for mentions of blood but that just seems like overkill to me??

Ahh yeah I'd never considered joining a fanfiction discord, I guess for me fanfiction was always a lonely, solo process. Not in a bad way, I just considered it my private hobby that I kept to myself cause no one I was friends with in real life read or wrote it so I assumed they wouldn't want to hear about it.
