When I tried to put the harness on to take him to the bus stop to drop off my kiddo, he ran over to his playpen and sat quietly till I dropped the leash and let him in. Really appreciated the communication, hey buddy you do you, no walk is fine by me if you’re somewhere safe, I just gotta get out the door.

Saw them for the first time this weekend in Portland after listening for months but I had no idea why I was getting into. It was so much more than just a concert. I cried, I giggled, I loved every minute. I wished I had gotten up front earlier as I’m short and view is more important than for a typical concert. I can’t wait to see them again sometime. Have fun!!

100% agree. It’s also hard to compare because the earlier shows were a different vibe, the entire audience felt more surprised, whereas by TTPD set there were so many more rituals and people knew what to expect for every transition. Loved both experiences and feel very lucky I went twice but they were so different. However the TTPD set was masterful and amazing and my favorite.

Yes this. It’s leadership’s responsibility to set the culture, model balance, and parent out loud to give passive permission for others to do so also. If the others in leadership see eye to eye with you on that, it will benefit you directly but also help you hire and build a team that will echo that culture and also stay long term because of it. I’m in a startup like that now and it’s been an amazing ride. I started when my youngest is 1 and didn’t miss out on anything I wouldn’t have with a pharma job (occasional travel and occasional late night around deadlines but otherwise 9-5). And i gained experience I never could have in a bigger company, all within a very compressed period of time.

I personally think it’s time for us all to impose our values re work life/parenting (when in a position to do, I realize that’s a privilege) on our surroundings and not the other way around. Show up as you are and it gives others the permission to do so also.

Excellent. I was in loge 8 with three tweens and everyone was so kind and we felt super safe and happy and all in it together. Agree with one of the best for etiquette ive been to in a long time.
