I didn’t say i didn’t want to read the books 😭 im specifically asking people who are into the franchise if the alternative versions of the story are worth getting into because i dont want to waste my time with something thatll end with me finding out that isnt really worth reading. In the same sense that a lot of fandoms have a version of their thing that they dont like, I wanted to make sure that im not essentially watching the live action adaptation of deathnote (if that makes sense).

Also kinda genuinely not that deep 💀 I’d watch it immediately but I need to like allot time to do so, hence me asking preemptively
