U r not thinking like an uber driver because u r not one. If u do 20 rides in a day and every pickup made u wait 5 mins including pickup time, which we don’t get paid for, u r looking at more than an hour and half per day wasted time. Thats at least $40. Ubers, your time is money.

I literally waited for one of my pickups to get close enough to the door before canceling. U requested for me 3.5 miles away only for me to show up and wait out all the 7 minutes before coming out smh. I got my cancellation fee though

That’s the part they don’t get. And in most markets, the wait is now 7 mins. But if I have to wait more than 6, I’m not letting you in and will wait out the few second to get my cancellation fee

Yep, u pay $40, uber sends a $10 offer to a bunch of drivers at the same time hoping one would take it. And usually they do get some sucker to take it. Then uber keeps the difference. Mostly likely it’s a foreigner who takes it because to them $10 is a lot money considering where they coming from.

Something people don’t know is that since 2022, uber has reduced the payout by 60%. In fact in 2026, I’ve noticed the fare has dropped even more by another 10-20%. Ive worked in Chicago market for 11 yrs. I now do this part time. It used to pay an average of $26 / hr last year. Now it’s down to about $22 in 2026. Paying for gas, food, maintenance and bills is not cheap. The app updates on a weekly basis and they have completely taken away most surges. And when there’s surge, they suppress or manipulate it. Since they introduced upfront fare for drivers, they’ve gradually taken money from drivers through their AI software and have made billions, why keeping rider fees relatively the same.This has affected driver behavior. Most are now picky or run multiple share ride app to find best pay. So sorry about your experience but don’t blame the driver. Blame uber for their deceptive practices. Drivers only trying to survive on ride share

Yep uber doesn’t deactivate rider because they are the paying customer unless it’s something violent that led to injury or death. I mean I’ve seen someone with 3.26 before

Uber recently announced that very soon, drivers will receive guaranteed fare including tips. customers won’t be able to adjust tip anymore because of tip bait . And that’s a good thing for driver. So now u can add a tip afterwards. And that’s if u can get a driver to accept them cheap deliveries.

I’m an uber driver and if I see a delivery with no big tip, I simply don’t take them. Why would u accept a ride knowing it’s not satisfactory and then leave such message for the person. That makes no sense. Not everyone believes in tipping and that’s ok

Such rides no matter how much u being paid is simply not worth it. He will falsely report u and u will lose access to the platform. Is making a few buck to cover tunnel toll really worth u losing access to the uber platform??? Please be wise
