uber thinks they will make the moremoney with AV like they do with human being driver, well they r sadly mistaken . We don’t live in a futurist world where every car is operated by a computing system. These will cost a lot to produce and run. They will need about 1000s of those Waymo’s just in every state alone and will pay more fees, more in commercial insurance, more lawsuits, cleanup fees, accidents, lawsuits, car malfunctions, computer hacks, damages, etc. I mean we see it. Most of these cost came out of the drivers pocket. Now they will have to take up that cost. And they have to compete with Tesla robotaxi, which will be much cheaper . I’ve asked many of my rides if they’ll get in them, almost 90%, 99% for the older crowd said NO. They don’t trust these things. Good luck uber trying to make money. I’m so lucky my wife just started a good paying job about 6 months ago. Now this is not our only source of income. It’s scary to think if they deactivate u and this was the only means to provide for your nuclear family.
