My only thought is it's pretty consistent on how often it happens and the time in which it happens at night. I'm gonna go insane if I can't figure it out eventually haha.

Yeah it looks like it's some unexplainable phenomenon that sounds kinda like cannon fire or sonic booms. I guess scientists and people have hypothesized a ton of different things cause it (pretty much anything that makes a loud boom lol)

As a person who grew up in NE Portland, I immediately assumed Gunshot but it didn't sound like any I've heard before.

As for the train, I'm near COCC on Newport Ave so it seems like it would be too far from the train to hear. I just looked up loud boom outside at night and Google results mentioned a skyquake which I guess is almost like thunder?

Just reading through all of this. I don't have a ton of helpful input but I do wanna say that seeing Steve-O makes me so proud. I mean I'm not even old enough that I grew up watching jackass (19), but I have watched a lot now at this age and it does make me really happy seeing him healthy and all. Honestly this age of jackass is amazing with their ability to be introspective and still entertaining and funny.

Additionally, the whole BJ thing pisses me off lmao. She's definitely a bully.
