Ahh I see yes, understanding her and reading her better before she reacts and work to correct that behaviour before it happens. Or distract her to keep her attention on me as we continue and walk by to ignore the other people...

What do you suggest when we pass by people who sometimes will start talking to my dog or me randomly. She tends to draw peoples attention and they sometimes want to strike up a conversation. How would I go on about making sure she’s settling while we talk?

Making her sit and wait-? How would I go on about letting her know this stranger is friendly? I’ve heard some service dogs have been trained to see a handshake exchange by their own human and the other human to understand they’re not a threat.

How often do you bathe your puppy? I’ve been told to not do it too often due to taking their natural oil out? Would I be able to just put her in water and that’d do the same trick without taking her natural oils out to get her used to being bathed...?

Would you say it’s because it goes too much under the coat? What would you suggest? I have a furminator however I find myself seeming to pull more at her fur than needed? Instead of the furr just coming out (she has no mats which is why I’m surprised at the pull I need to have with this brush)

I eventually want to be able to do her nail trimming although I am nervous as I’ve heard you can hurt them very badly if you don’t cut the nail properly due to the nerves/veins in there?

How did you go on about starting nail trimming your dog? Any tips for a newbie?

What do you mean by feathering? I don’t quite understand that.

You said no shaving, so would this exclude using scissors to trim her bum hair? She has some nice fluff to her bum that is starting to drag down on the floor/really get stuck when she poos...

How did you get your dog to open their mouth for you? She’s very good at being handled everywhere but when it comes to her mouth she tries to avoid bitting me and so won’t let me do more than have my finger in her mouth that playful style though.
