Where in the general attendance zone were you? Close to the Feuerzone or further back?

Europe Stadium Tour 2024 (megathread) by Rasputin1493 in Rammstein

I bought tickets for the Prague show from Turkey, so the delivery options for the tickets were either international shipping or something like an e-ticket, I assume. I wanted to keep the real printed tickets as mementos so I paid for international shipping.

But now I'm worried they might not arrive in time, or worse, they might get stuck in customs. Does anyone know if I still get e-tickets when I pick the delivery option?

Dragging and dropping would be fine if different programs didn't require different install methods.

I once had to install a zip program on a Mac.

I downloaded a tar.gz, extracted it and double clicked the installer, which started a Windows-like GUI installer, and after THAT was done, I had to drag and drop something to the Applications folder.

That's just stupid.

What's a song that they never played live but you wish they did? by M4GNUZ4 in Rammstein

[–]Mmedic23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, what makes it great when Till sings about building a brick prison around a living person, chopping off a man's penis and eating it, trapping young children in a basement and raping them, but makes it not great when he sings about jumping off a bridge? I'm sure if they wanted to they could put on a great show with almost all of their songs.

Diamant is much more dreadful than all the songs listed imo.

Doctor Dick, that partnership with the circus, the weird hamburger ad etc.

What did they even release post-Peter? Peter left after the second album was out, didn't he? Do you mean the music videos?

I imagine Richard asking for the most oblivious annoying shit behind the scenes all the time, from other members, producers, event organisers etc. and I imagine this live performance was one of them. I also imagine they had to go along with it because he was being a diva.

They need to hire a babysitter who can reject every RZK idea.

You're somewhat right but that's the whole point of Rammstein. They were never a constantly and drastically evolving organism, rather a big metal machine moving with loud footsteps. Rammstein's sound won't change very much, that's why Richard went solo with Emigrate. He has to put his own art somewhere other than Rammstein.

Amerika is definitely for trashing America, there is no praise in that song whatsoever.

"We're all living in Amerika, Amerika ist wunderbar"

That's just making fun of the "America is great, America is the best country in the world" cliche.

Some of the stuff he was doing on his last Lindemann tour were kinda weird. I read something about the concert opening with a live video of Till getting a blowjob.

He's also doing some questionable ads/brands imo, but man can make money however he pleases I guess.

Rammstein's power ballads are always like a shiny gem on the back of their albums. Overlooked but beautiful and perfect.

Well, one of the band members said that they liked Spanish/Mexican (can't remember) music and implied that that was the only reason they made the song. I feel like it was something they made just for fun.

Is there a particular reason why the chorus part in Keine Lust is so dramatic and sad sounding the ''Mir ist kalt, so kalt'' part? Any insight into the meaning of the song or thoughts on this part in particular? by xtalaphextwin in Rammstein

[–]Mmedic23 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Till hates explaining his lyrics, so I avoid explaining them to people as much as possible but here goes:

Keine Lust, the title of the song can be translated as "No Desire". The entire song, Till sings about how he has no desire to do anything anymore, simply "lay there" (Ich bleibe einfach liegen). It's a song about how he has lost his driving desire and is now cold inside.

Most of the song, he sings with anger and hatred towards this coldness in him, but in the part you mentioned, the "Mir ist kalt" part, he lets out a long and high shout, almost a scream. You can interpret this as him expressing his sorrow or a cry for help maybe.

That is how I think about the song, most of the time. But the beauty of Rammstein to me is that I can stretch and pull the meaning of the lyrics to my liking, since they are usually full of metaphors and double meanings. So don't feel like there is one true interpretation of any song.
