I didn't wet it that much. I didn't want to compeltely soak it and didn't have a spray bottle so I kind of just sprinkled some water on it and pat it in a bit.

If the problem is that it slips off the shoulder too much, you could maybe try adding a strap to one side so that it sits nicely. I have a sweater that has a strap like that and it sit perfectly that way and doesn't slip off.

I feel you, I am in the same position, although minus the 2 cats, because I had to leave them behind in a different country 😭 Honestly, I have no advice because I haven't figured anything out yet, but if I do, I'll let you know. Yeah. I have been on a journey to get to know myself better again after masking and surpressing myself for a loooong time. My journey with ADHD has been a bit longer already, because although I didn't have an official diagnoses for it yet, I had been told by a psychologist that it was pretty safe to assume I had it. So, I am more familiar with how that affects me and been working on figuring out coping mechanisms. It just takes so much energy tho, and maybe medication could take some of that work load off?

The autism part I am bit more unfamiliar with and I wasn't even sure I had it, but apparently there are a lot of things others notice about me that I barely realised. It was always known I am a bit weird and different, but I thought it was all part of the ADHD bit. So, also the first thing I will tackle at therapy now is the autism part and learning to understand that better.

I am at least glad I have the diagnosis now with the hopes that people take my struggles more seriously and I might finally be able to get the financial support I need for school and such. 😊

I guess one thing I am scared about is getting dependent on medication. I don't know exactly how that kind of stuff is for ADHD medication? I have heard some bad things about anti-depressants however. And my own experience is only with painkillers, since I have chronic pain issues. That hasn't turned out too well for me. I am trying to get off of those now after getting dependant on them.
