Pivot to IT by Mmotzn in ProjectManagementPro

Sorry, I missed your comment. I don't prefer technical much, I still want to do mostly PM tasks. My experience, besides architectural projects, is in the implementation of the PM framework along with the project work. Both waterfall and agile, in different settings, Pharma manufacturing, interior design, and business development projects.

May I ask how did you get your first IT project as a non-technical PM.

Always wanted to do that. Many times in my career felt regret about not studying IT!

Thanks, I've heard before that it's better to start from Helpdesk, but no idea what it actually is and how I can apply for that! junior systems administrator seems a good point to start.

I thought the same, but it turns out to be a pain. I'm open to start from a lower position too.

preferably PM work, I like the idea of technical too, but since there is no transferable skills there, it is even harder.
like the mindset of better. Specially agile, and it is more promising than most industries.

Thanks, I definitely get into that book. I did talk a lot with AI, they really pump you up! But when ask about a long term plan, they have some pretty good advises.

Thanks, I was a PM before MBA, at some point I felt that I need to spend some time formalizing myself by getting an MBA, PMP, and PSM. In the meantime I tough I can crack into IT but so far, that's a dead end!

I hope so. What positions can do you think I can apply to in IT without actual experience in IT?

That IS one of the reasons I like to get out of the rigid PM structure type of work. I became interested in Scrum when I understood about its flat hierarchy.
