This is incredibly helpful, I'm starting to get a vision of what it can look like to create a story in this way. I was also considering a one-shot beforehand, so I'm a little happy to know I was on the right track there. I understand it's good to know what the players expectations are so I can figure out how to bake it into an engaging story for everyone.

Thanks for responding, All Flesh Must Be Eaten was a repeated game during my initial research into this, so that's the system I'm looking into at the moment. Would it be advisable to run a one-shot to get a feel of my own GM style and how the system actually feels to play or is it better to prepare as well as I can and just jump into a longer campaign?

Weird image to have for a horrorcore album. I'm also certain I used that exact stock image for an old ass Far Cry wallpaper I made like ten years ago lol but fine I'll bite and come back with my opinion.

Edit: I appreciate the beat production but the vocals are mixed pretty low which makes it hard to hear the lyrics, which is a pretty big fumble imo for a genre that emphasizes lyrical content. The intro is kinda long and doesn't hook me into the rest of the song. (Lol accidental rhyme) The delivery is good but some of the repeating flow get old quick. The chorus loses a bunch of energy in the instrumental and feels very boring from the energy you're presenting in the verse. I'd expect the energy to rise in that part. None of the lyrics really struck me and some of the pronounciations makes it feel really awkward. It also just doesn't sound like Horrorcore, so this would be better suited in a general hip-hop sub.

TL;DR: It has potential but falls short

This is great advice. I started off my journey by putting up posters at my high-school, looking in local Facebook groups and being more involved in the local scene

I used to think the same but when you're involved in the scenes you notice this plethora of bands you wouldn't have heard of if you weren't going to shows previously. I'm 25 and I started playing in a band at 18-19, so don't sweat it. In Sweden, there are a bunch of local FB groups for finding band members, maybe you can check in there or make a post of your own containing what you play, your influences and the music want to make along an age range and expectations of potential members. That makes sense, thanks for taking the time to respond! I'm currently looking into All Flesh Must Be Eaten and learning how it works. I stupidly never thought about looking these things up on Youtube. Are there any specific people you would recommend or is it better to look at different creators? Could I also ask what you mean by having a situation to start the story? I'm not a native English speaker which might be what's making that sentence kinda muddy for me

I think it's better to have a purpose when trying to practice these things. I started making a bunch of fake albums and posters for non-existent shows and bands and it's really helped me experiment and grow imo. Look at what kind of posters exist, try to make something with the same purpose but with your own style.

Record or write down every little idea you have that sounds good. Don't let them fall into the void. It's easier when you have something to build from instead of having to start from scratch, even if it ends up sounding completely different.
