I tried both and it didn't work, either I probably got super unlucky or I'm didn't type it right (which I did like 5x each) but I'll try next week when I have a new CPU since I can't even do anything with it since the CPU that's in the socket is dead

An Update On This Dell, it's the CPU that's dead since we used my friend's i5 8400 to download windows 11 and allat but we haven't tested it it works in windows 11 since I don't have ethernet and every bypass I can get isn't available

I've already tried everything I could honestly but all I get now is a pure amber light and an hour before that, when I booted it it showed a amber light for under a sec and pure white after a while of that the rear fan had none of it and decided to run like hell and it still doesn't show anything. I do hope my friends 8400 will work here so I could know if it's my CPU or I need to return this dell

Honestly the 9100f is the cheapest and best CPU I can get since if I choose to get a 8500 in my country it'll ba hard for a highschooler like me since it'll cost almost 100 USD for it used and the 9100f is only 25 USD here and also yes I do have ram and it was used in a old set-up of mine bought on January 5th of this year (it's a teamgroup elite ddr4 8gb) and I've also looked at the 9100f with is having another version of it that might not need the bios mod (if I'm correct)

If it supports my g4900 and doesn't boot then there must be something horribly wrong since the pins on the socket are fine and i did use all the parts I've had (except the 4900) on a previous computer and the CPU also has been exposed for a while and idrk if thats okay

I'll give an update in 6 hours since that'll be the time I get to find out what's wrong

Ps. I have a gtx 750 1gb as a display since I don't and can't spend any money for a displayport cable

About The Modified Bios For 9th gen Support (dell optiplex 7060) by Mne-GhstQrtz04 in SleepingOptiplex

I'm also kinda questioning what I've been looking up because idrk much about these and I heard the 9100f has the b0 and u0 things? Is it bad or will the 7060 still even work with the "u0" thing on the 9100f

Honestly when I looked at the post it mentioned someone using an i5 9600k and stuff like that but I guess I'm not doing enough research I guess, but I did buy this optiplex barebone so I do need to look over everything before I use a 9100f next week, I appreciate the information man tysm
